He tried to do the same thing, but the fish flopped in the air and landed on Eaglepaw's head. "What is that?" he asked in shock, being pulled into the river. He anchored his front claws to the ground above him as he was trying not to be swept away by the current. "Lightningstar!" he gurgled. "HELP!!"

He gasped as Eaglepaw fell into the water. Lightningstar quickly jumped in and attempted to grab his scruff. He blinked as he grabbed it, but accidentally let go. Lightningstar struggled for breath. He couldn't let Eaglepaw drown.

Cherryblossom lead the patrol to the new hunting place. "Here you go, Blizzardpaw and Falconpaw. Petalstep, Mothheart, Weavertail and I will watch you from a distance while you two hunt. Let the hunt begin!" she declared, padding away ans hiding behind an old tree from far away.

{I think some love triangle is going on? I'm making a discussion thread possibly. Eaglepaw was hunting with Littlefall and Lightningstar. Eaglepaw fell in the river. Falconpaw and Blizzardpaw are doing their warrior asessment. Pantherstrike is training Sunpaw.}

The she-cat gently followed along behind Pantherstrike, listening to him teach the apprentice. Even though Sunpaw was blind, and Pantherstrike would still be a good mentor to him. She knew that all very well. Though she decided it would be good for herself to stay quiet as Pantherstrike taught Sunpaw. Knowing he'd do well teaching Sunpaw, though she'd be there to help if he asked for it.


☆Blizzardpaw☆
The tom followed along with the patrol seeing the mountain, with jack rabbits. He was eager to do this, rabbit hunting either came down to speed and endurance or quiet stalking. Either would be better for him than fish hunting. "So is this we're we are hunting now?" He asked eagerly. As he wouldn't mind hunting rabbits more than fish.

Once he had gotten the reply that they would be hunting there did he sprint down into the clearing with the jack rabbits, taking off after the first on he saw.

☆Falconpaw☆
Falconpaw looked over the mountain as she followed along with the patrol. She didn't mind hunting rabbits, as it came down to which situation came down to either chasing it down or quietly stalking up on the rabbit. And since chasing down took a lot of energy, if stalking it down would be better than that running it down. Though she waited to see if this would be were they would be hunting as they could be moving else where to hunt instead.

Once she had heard that they would be hunting there did she watch as Blizzardpaw took off in a sprint after the first jack rabbit he had spotted. With a slight sigh did she start silently stalking her way down into the clear, deciding to take the more silent way of hunting the jack rabbits instead of Blizzardpaw's rush right after it.

The she cat watched as Smokepaw seemed to be off in though, which she felt bad about snapping him out of it. "I'm alright. Just wondering how Falconpaw's doing on her assessment." She said admitting the fact that she was worried about Falconpaw on her assessment. "So what were you thinking about? Well... if you don't mind me asking."

Eaglepaw
Eaglepaw managed pulled himself up, but let go and hit his head on a sharp rock. The last thing he remembered was that he got on land and blood was staining his fur. It was over. He lost the game of life. No.. how could I die... he thought. His motionless body lay there. "Get me back to camp and announce my death..." he mumbled to Lightningstar. That was his last words.

Sunpaw purred softly and made his paw to the toms back. He attempted to jump on Pantherstrikes back. Though the tom was to short so he pawed his ear stretching his paw as far as he could.

Petalstep watched the two apprentices with a smile.

Ace looked curiously at the kittypet. "You have never seen a river?" he asked her. Deciding not to wait for her response he continued walking as he spoke. "Well you know what water is, I assume, so a river is like water. You know when your housefolk turn in the magic thing in the kitchen and water comes out? Its where the wash stuff too. Well that is kinda like a river but a river is much larger. Its like you spilled a huge water bowl and its spills and flows off. Rivers are more under control though. They follow a path and sometimes the water moves quickly and sometimes it moves slowly." Ace meowed trying his best to explain.

Ace hesitated for a little. He didn't want to scare the she-cat but the truth was, the river could be dangerous. When Ace first came to the forest, he found a cat who taught him how to fight, hunt, and swim. That cat had drowned in the river while trying to teach Ace how to swim and Ace hasn't swam since then. "I will be honest with you, the river can be dangerous. Some cats know how to swim, but if you are swept away by the current, it is most likely you will drown. Some calm spots in the river, you can walk right through but others can be tricky" Ace finally meowed.
