Lionstar nodded at the apprentice, leaping down to face her. "Then by the powers of StarClan, I give you your warrior name. Mousepaw, from this moment you will be known as Mouseclaw. StarClan honors your courage, and we welcome you as a full warrior of Lightningclan." He touched his nose to the new warriors shoulder, expecting the cat to lick his shoulder in turn.


snowfeather flicked her ears in admiration. "Mouseclaw!" She called out. "mouseclaw!"


tigerkit watched, anxious for what was to come


Aspenstream stared at the Tom in shock, anger dancing in her eyes. There were so many choice phrases she could have used in that situation. Instead she looked over at cloudwhisper, completely unsure of what to do at that moment.

Mouseclaw licked his shoulder and backed away a little

The silvery male grimaces, "I'm sorry that was rude of me, I'll not hurt a she-cat." he admits, mostly to himself. "I'll be off then, pleased to meet you." he scoops up his kill and begins to climb the tree it had dropped from. Why couldn't they see that he means them no harm? Hurt is on his face as he looks back at AspenStream.

Mouseclaw ducked shyly she loved and hated it when they called her name

Lionstar nodded. "I have several other announcements." He added as the cheers died down. He looked towards the nursery. " Tigerkit, you have reached the age of six moons, and it is time for you to be apprenticed. From this day on, until you receive your warrior name, you will be known as Tigerpaw. Your mentor will be Kestrelfire. I hope Kestrelfire will pass down all he/she knows on to you."

The golden Tom swung his head towards the deputy. "Kestrelfire, you are ready to take on an apprentice. You had received excellent training from Sootwhisker, and you have shown yourself to be loyal and brave. You will be the mentor of Tigerpaw, and I expect you to pass on all you know to him."


Tigerpaw blinked in surprise. He looked over at kestrelfire, not particularly pleased, but not upset about the mentor choice either. He nodded solemnly, trotting up to the Tom to touch noses with him, as was coustom.

He leaps from the tree, landing in a perfect crouch infront of the she-cat, a snarl on his muzzle, the kill lands behind him with a loud thump; "Who are you to deny me the right to speak with someone Clan-Cat? I wish to see your leader, your something-or-other-Star! I have traveled for moons on the thunderpath, through no-fur places, and on the silver-road-car (a train), I have fought my way here and If I have to fight every cat inside of a battle patrol to speak with your leader, so be it! Take me to your leader, this is the last time I will ask nicely," blue eyes are filled with fury that has only just begun to be hinted at. "I have no qualms about shedding blood here, or anywhere else. I come to be your ali. Why do you deny me kinship? My father was a clan-cat here, moons ago, should I at least not try to come home." he is speaking now, calm again, but his voice breaks on the last word.
