Cindercloud sat just at the entrance to the nursery, basking in the amount of sun she could. She couldn't wait until her kits came.

Kestrelcall listened to Lightningstar stutter, he was very excited to find out who the new deputy would be. His eyes were filled with eagerness. As he heard Lightningstar say something with a "K", he froze. He had a feeling it would be another cat with the letter K in their name. But boy, if it was him, he'd almost have a heart attack. Then, when Lightningstar said his name, his heart almost shot out of his chest. He shot a sheepish grin at his leader and padded to the warrior den.

It was quite awkward for the new deputy. I mean, I could have atleast said thank you... Kestrelcall thought as he lay down in his patch of moss, thinking about what he was going to do. It was a whole new responsibility after all. He wasn't exactly the wisest but he was indeed smart, so that was quite a good advantage for the warrior. He sat up and groomed his fur, he licked his paw and drew it over his head. He truly wanted to look nice when he thanked Lightningstar, after all.

Kestrelcall came out of his den after ten minutes of complete licking and grooming. He walked over to Lightningstar, who was still at the high rock. He grinned and sat with his tail over his paws. "W-w-why did you pick me, what did I do?" Kestrelcall stuttered, his voice trembling. He figured the leader had only chosen out of sympathy for his slight clumsy manner. He was freaking out, but soon he would be back to his brash and wise ways. He nodded a sense of happiness to Lightningstar. "I won't let you down, Lightning!"

Cindercloud watched the clan, running around and doing jobs. She sighed and set her head on her paws.
