Brokenstar had fallen asleep, his tail twined with Ashfoot's.

Raccoonmask had been sitting vigil for some time, when a badger scent caught across his nose like a claw. More than one. "Badgers!" He yowls, not caring if his vigil was over or not.

Flintbreeze snaps awake, claws unsheathed and ready for battle. He could hear the pounding of massive paws hitting the ground in a fast motion.

Ashfoot woke up first and smiled at the sleeping Tom before licking his cheek.

Flintbreeze stands in front of the nursery, fur bristled.

Raccoonmask scented them getting closer.

Brokenstar wakes with a smile, licking Ashfoot's cheek in return.

Sundapple looks at her sleeping kits, carrying them to the corner of the nursery wheren Sunshine was.

Sunshine looked up, curling around her own kits. Then she toughened her resolve. "Kits, stay put." she ordered in a firm, no-nonsense voice, before going to stand by her mate firmly.

Blackhaze's head shot up. He ran to the middle of camp. "Darkclan! To me!" he called, since Brokenstar was nowhere in sight. The stench of badger hit his nose and he could hear the pounding of heavy pawsteps approaching.

Wolf step snapped awake as she fell over. She could feel the got breath of a badger, frightened to move.

Raccoonmask leaps, clawing the badger that stood over Wolfstep. He growls, slashing at it over and over, distracting it from the she-cat. "Go!" He yowls, a massive claw swining for him. He ducks and butes its claw, hearing it roar with anger. Racoonmask snarls to it, clawing the nose open. He dodges another swing of his paw, sliding under the belly of the beast. He claws it open, hearing it almost wail in pain.

Flintbreeze snarls, facing up against a monster twice his size. "Go into the nursery!" He tells Sunshine. "The kits need you!" Just then, the massive black and white beast roars and claws Flintbreeze's shoulder. He snarls, slashing his paw so deep, the tissue showed and it immediatly started gushing blood.

Brokenstar hears the commotion outside and races from his den, staring in disbelief at the badgers. He growls, slashing up and slamming its jaw into its upper jaw, making it bites itself.

Sunshine ignored Flintbreeze's order, flying at the badger attacking him and latching onto it's back, scratching deep with a fury.

Blackhaze leaped at a free badger, leaving a deep gash down it's side before turning to face it again, waiting for the right time to dash by and bloody it's other side.
