Stormpaw's mood lightened again as he watched the two kits play, he nibbled on the sparrow and spat out the feathers in disgust. Its stupid how birds have feathers, why don't they have fur instead? He growled in annoyance at Lostpaw.

" Yes it is. Get back inside. " she purred. " But I'm not tired. " he mewed as he yawned. " I guess I can get some sleep. Cmon SpeckleKit. " SpeckleKit tiredly followed him. LavenderCloud finally felt the two kits fall asleep. Their breathing matched. She licked their fur before going outside and grabbing a shrew. She finished the shrew in a few gulps and padded back to the den. As she came back she saw the two kits still sleeping. She came back to her spot and then fell asleep.
