She snorts, "Yeah I guess she does." She ruffles her pale feathers and then settles them flat, "I prefer to have either Caedis or you as my partner, Toaren seems a bit too soft to me." She stands on one leg and uses her other talons to scratch behind her head.

Liam smirked. "I hate Toaren, if I say so myself," he snorted. "He has the personality of a guardian," he added, disgust clearly embedded in his voice. He did know that Toaren thought he was stronger than the high tyto, himself, and that was one of the main reasons why he hated Toaren with all his heart, or, if he had one, at least.

She laughs and shakes her head a bit, "True words, he is as soft as a Guardian." She flares out one wing and nips at the underside where she could feel a few feathers that weren't settled right.

Nyx listened to the sound of her wing beats. Most owls had different noises produced, and the broken shaft of her would produce a different sound. He followed the other barn owl through the battlefield, dodging the other owls. Their fight wasn't over.

Liam smirked softly and ruffled his feathers a bit. "Well, anyways. These guardians don't kill themselves," he said as he spread out his wings and loosened his grip on his perch in the tree before taking off into the sky, his bloodied battle claws glinting in the moonlight. It was a shame how weak some of these guardians were. A sooty could kill over half of these guardian's, for Glaux's sake!

She laughs playfully and flies after him, gliding past him, "I wonder who can kill the most?" She screeches and nudged his wing with hers before turning and killing a few Guardians that tried to claw her wings.

PLUS, I finished Nanook's form, and found a website that has some sample sounds that Barn Owls make. I find it interesting that they make these long, harsh screeches rather than the average hoots. http://www.allaboutbirds.org/guide/barn_owl/sounds }

Ebony - Melanistic Barn Owl - Pure Ones Trainee
Ebony looked at Toaren with pride in her eyes. "Correct. Good thinking." She felt strong tugs in her gizzard as she looked at his devious, pure white face - and those deep coal black eyes. It made her heart flutter. As she heard the words Toaren murmured she smiled and nuzzled against him, creating a sort of wavering, purr-ish noise, before remembering that they were supposed to be escaping and a Guardian could find them any minute.

History:
Nanook was born on Stormfast Island, but has since moved to Elsemere Island. Her parents were kind and taught her a lot about venturing into the world on her own. They told her of legends of famous bears and such. She is imaginative and smart, yet strong and a powerful swimmer, thanks to her upbringing.
