The Clan burst into chaos again as Batstar reluctantly called a Clan meeting to decide who would next be exiled.
Cats throw around names like there's no tomorrow, which, for some, might be true. The ones heard most prominently are Honeystorm and Snowflight.
"RiverClan!" Batstar calls.
Slowly, the cats fall silent.
"I know you're all troubled by Robin-" He has to pause to swallow a lump that was forming. "-by Robinfeather's death. I'm grieving just as much as, if not more than, all of you, yet it seems like we haven't found the killer yet. This is a difficult request, but I propose we vote."
"It was Stormriver!" Rabbitrush insists. She seems to be the only one of that mindset, though, as the Clan seems to be equally split between Honeystorm and Snowflight.
Soon, Batstar is able to pick out out that Honeystorm's name seems to be the more common of the two, and the newest deputy looks dismayed.
Batstar sighs. "Honeystorm, I'm afraid it's my duty to exile you from RiverClan," he says heavily. "Leave now."
Honeystorm looks around and closes her eyes, tail drooping, but she nods before exiting camp.

Sorrelwish pokes her head out of the nursery, nervously looking around, before she steps out entirely and heads for the dirt place. The entire time, she's on edge.
She jumps when she unexpectedly runs into a cat sitting by the river. "They'll all pay, Leafheart. I swear," they murmur, head bowed.
"Hey, are you alright?" Sorrelwish mews kindly.
The cat's head whips around to glare at her. "How much of that did you hear?" they hiss.
Sorrelwish uncertainly takes a step back. "Just something about Leafheart," she says. "Look, I... I know h-"
Claws slash at her face and she jumps back, startled.
"This isn't personal," the killer says, voice suddenly calm and smooth.
Until they remember that Sorrelwish is pregnant.
Their eyes narrow. "I wanted to raise kits one day," they hiss. "Leafheart and I would have done it together."
Sorrelwish turns to flee back to camp, knowing that they need to know what's happening, but before she can go even a few taillengths the killer pounces on her. "Say hello to Hemlocktail, Flinteyes, and Robinfeather for me," they hiss before biting the back of her neck, like they would a piece of prey.
After heaving the queen into the river and washing their paws, the killer heads back to camp.
But they're hit by a small bit of remorse for the lost kits.
You've lost your guard, RiverClan! Numbers are dropping swiftly!

Pigeonfeather woke up to the sound of... silence? He glanced outside the den. Well, I guess we exiled the right cat, or I just woke up before somecat discovered someone dead. He got up and went to the fresh kill pile, the first time he's done so since the murders, and grabbed a smallish fish, not noticing Sorrelwish's body near the river.

Stormriver lay under the shade of a willow tree that towered over the camp, chowing down on a plump carp she'd fished herself. The carp, as delicious and flavorful as it was, did little to distract her mind from lingering on the recent killings. Her blood run cold at the thought that someone in the clan had the capacity to take not just one cat's life, but three. Innocent cats who had their whole lives ahead of them, all snatched away in a heartbeat.
Her claws dug into the ground in frustration. Could there have been something more that she could have done to prevent those deaths? Had she been more attentive, would those clanmates still be alive and breathing?
Stormriver shook her head to clear it. It would do no good to dwell on it now. There was no choice but to keep moving forward - For the sake of her fallen clanmates.
Getting up, she decided that it would be best to take the carp to the nursery and share it with Sorrelwish. Her kits were due soon and she could use the extra prey.
Carp firmly clutched in her jaws, she padded towards the sheltered den. She set the carp down and peered inside, calling out, "Sorrelwish? I brought you a carp."
No answer. Strange.
Taking a closer look inside, Stormriver saw that the queen's nest was empty of it's occupant.
Chills ran down her spine as the worst case scenarios ran through her head.
Stepping away from the den, she carried the carp back to the fresh kill pile, movements tense and rigid with unease. She spotted Pigeonfeather nearby.
"Pigeonfeather? Have you seen Sorrelwish? I went to take this carp to her but she's not in the nursery."
Her deep, raspy voice was laced with worry.

He jumped at the sound of Stormriver's voice, then turned to her. "No, sorry." Pigeonfeather glanced around to see if he just looked over her, but couldn't. "Nope..." Why would she be out of her nest? Aren't her kits due soon? After one lasts look around, he eventually saw half of a cat-like blob that seemed similar to Sorrelwish's coat with a red liquid, blood, around it. Is that Sorrelwish? Was she killed? Should I tell Stormriver? No, it might not be her... but what if it is?

Stormriver raised her head to scent the air for a trace of Sorrelwish. Above the scent of prey that drifted from the fresh kill pile, she caught a hint of an odd, metallic scent carried by the breeze. Her heart nearly skipped a beat when she recognized it.
"I smell cat blood," She muttered, her tone grim as a looming sense of dread began to fester.
Nodding her head in the direction of the scent, she took off after it at an urgent pace, senses alert for any sign of Sorrelwish...Or perhaps the murderer, lurking somewhere in the shadows.
Stormriver clung to the sliver of hope that the queen was alive and well.
That hope was immediately crushed to smithereens when she came across Sorrelwish's lifeless form, lying in a pool of scarlet. Stormriver squeezed her eyes shut, grief welling within her. She had prepared herself for the worst, but that didn't make it hit any less harder.
The murderer was still in their midst after all, and this time, out of all the cats in the clan, they had the audacity to slaughter a queen expecting kits.
Sorrelwish's lifeless eyes stared blankly at Stormriver as she stood rigid, staring at the corpse.
There would be time to mourn later, she thought, snapping her back to reality. Delicately she picked up Sorrelwish's limp body in her jaws, dragging the body back to camp. Stormriver lay her down in the clearing, still feeling numb from shock.
"We were wrong about Honeystorm."
