Eternity ran in to help Darkla and grabbed Dark, then dragged him out as quickly as she could. As she put him down, she realized he was still faintly breathing. "Hey, can you hear me?" She pawed his face to see if he would respond, but he didn't. "He's in a coma and he could stay like this for months..." She whined, looking at Yara.

"So, Merr will be the temporary alpha male?" Rai asked.

Merr gulped, frowning slightly. "If it comes to that... Yes. But I'll allow you guys to decide whether I stay or not..." He looked down at Eternity as she spoke, frowning more.

Karrie had curled up into a ball, moaning pitifully.

"Mom, shut up." Darlka barked.

"Yara, Merr, I'll need you two to stay with Dark while I make sure nobody is still inside the building. Okay?" Eternity barked, then ran quickly in to the collapsing building to make sure that it was empty.

Merr smiled at Yara as he curled around Dark, nodding his head to his brother as he padded after Eternity. His breathing was slow and laboured, but he would make sure that she was safe. She had saved their lives, it was the least he could do to help her.

Darkla looked at Merr and Yara. She then trotted after Eternity, carefully avoiding weak spots and those that still burned. She quickly caught up with her. "Aren't you a human?" she asked.

Merr raised himself to his full height, holding up the building's structure in the area Eternity was in. He smiled weakly at her, but didn't move to help her or Darkla as he really couldn't. The building was weak, he didn't need to hold it up at the moment, but if he didn't... Who knows when it could collapse. It was better to be safe than to be sorry.
