Merr smashed his way through another one, weakening the rest of the building. He spotted Dark by his flaming paw, rushing over. "Dark?" He cocked his head, grimacing as he used his mouth to kill the flame on Dark's paw. "Yara sent me to get you."

[Bolt1784]

"Well, I'm sort of-" Suddenly the rest of the roof came down on top of Dark and crushed him without warning...

Merr screamed as it fell on Dark, crushing all but his paw. Merr put his paw on Dark's, whining softly. "I'm sorry. I wish I could have done something to help you, but there was no time..." He felt a single tear fall down his cheek for Dark... Why had this happened...

Luke whined and looked up at Yara. "They've been too long, something's happened..."

[Solanum]

Yara merely held up his paw to Luke, silencing him. "Give Merr a little more time. He knows what he is doing..."

[Bolt1784]

"Okay..." Luke sighed. "...Daddy, I'm scared..."

"I-I'm not dead yet...Don't...Don't get too excited, M-Merr..." Came a weak voice. Dark was still alive. He shakily tried to stand up, breaking through the hot rubble and then finally shaking off what had just come down on him. "C-Come on!" He nudged Merr and started limping off through the holes Merr had made in the walls.

"DADDDY!" Dark JR screamed. He ran to the wolf he knew and loved, licking the old male's face again and again.

"C-Come on, little guy..." Dark licked the pup back and picked him up by his scruff, then made his way out through the way Merr had got in. As soon as he got outside, he dropped DarkJR and collapsed on his side, panting hard.

Merr watched as the walls began to crumble around him, little by little. He pushed Dark out the way, trying to move out of the way of the falling building, but he was too slow. It fell down on him, trapping from his chest downwards, a large piece of Metal going right through his neck. Blood poured from his wound, and his mouth as his body finally realised what had actually happened to it. The shock alone now was keeping him alive. "I-I'm sor-ry..."

"M-Merr!" Dark weakly tried to shout, but it came out as a whisper. He stood up again and limped back over to Merr and saw more metal coming down, heading straight for Merr. He stood over Merr to shield him from the metal and took a few hits, but a sharper piece suddenly went right in to his head. He stumbled sideways and fell in to the flames, thrashing in agony for a few moments. He stopped thrashing and lifted his head to look at Merr as he slowly lost his hearing, his sight, everything, and the pain was unbearable. "So...this is...it...It's all over for me..." He closed his eyes and flattened his ears, then continued, "M-Merr...Take my place as alpha...male..." He coughed up some blood and rested his head on the ground. "Th-this is my last order...to give...you...Get out of...here..."
