Felix gave her a confused look. "I'm Felix Swiftfox." His eyes watched her every move in case she was just tricking him of her friendliness. "Why are you here?" He wrapped his wings around his body again and waited for her to reply.

"Just looking for a place to rest before I restart my journey to my colony's hibernation spot." Kappa informed him. "Winter's settling in, and I don't want to be stuck in the cold. Aren't you going to travel with your colony?"

[valiant.]

Felix shuffled uncomfortably as a chilly wind swept onto his back. "I-I don't have a colony." He tilted his head, an ear flopping to the side of his head. "Do you?" His voice was small and soft, like a warm wind.

[Solarizing]

"You don't have a colony?" Kappa frowned. "That's too bad... but–" Her ears perked up. "How would you like to join my colony? We could always use some extra males. Besides, we're going to Hibernaculm so you'll get to meet everyone!"

[valiant.]

Felix shivered and shook his wings. "I-I don't know." He didn't exactly like the idea of others surrounding him. He gazed at her again. "I don't know if I could keep up." He tried to keep his wings closer to his body closer to his body as he said this, they were long. "I'd be an outcast anyway.."

Kappa felt an odd sense of sorrow at Felix's tone. "I'm sorry you feel that way," she squeaked. "But, will you at least come with me to Hibernaculm? I was going to make the journey with my eldest brother, Arrow, but he became terribly ill before we left..." She hoped Felix agreed to be her partner. Although she had the echo map safely memorized and she had traveled to Hibernaculm before, the threat of owls and beasts made her reluctant to make the trip alone.

The fast Brightwing zoomed above Kappa's head, while a Foxwing bat flapped after her. The Brightwing came back around, as fast as a jet. She carefully landed, but quickly landed in front of Kappa. "Hiya!" She greeted her. Then anouther bat came, tired looking, landed next to the fast Brightwing. He was panting.
