- For some reason, Echolight feels herself soften as Coyoteheart agrees. She barely notices that Bumblepaw has finally awoken, only noticing the apprentice after she dips her head down to pick up the vole Coyoteheart had left for her. She watches as he takes the rosemary to their stocks, and she feels a small wave of relief wash over her. Good, she thinks instead of mumbling, simply because she has prey in her mouth and she doesn't want to drop it. Bumblepaw will put the rosemary up. One less thing to be worried about. Briefly, she wonders how the young tom is doing today - she didn't see much of him, so she isn't sure how well of a day today will be for him, but she isn't worried about him. She has no doubt he'd let someone know if he was having an issue.
Echolight slips out of the den, careful to not bump into Goosefeather or Mistpaw. She pauses by the front of it, glancing left and right before finally spotting Coyoteheart nearby the den. He looks nervous, constantly scanning the camp, and she feels something in her heart tug. It's only been a moon - logistically, she knows it will take seasons for Coyoteheart to heal from everything Brackenstar had done. She's not even sure if he can ever fully heal from it, knowing how far deep some of those emotional scars run. The worst part is that she doesn't even know the full story; only whatever he was comfortable sharing.
Taking her chance, she pads in front of him so as to not startle Coyoteheart and sits next to him. Her back isn't to the wall like Coyoteheart's is, but she's close enough to him to try and act as some sort of mock-barrier. "Thank you again," she says warmly, casting a glance at him before looking around camp. She spots Mountainstar and Willowstep chatting, and assumes that Rosedapple has probably made her way to the nursery. (though she mumbles this assessment as well; a quiet "Rosedapple must be with the queens," under her breath.) Echolight leans down and takes a bite of her vole, mind running both in circles and not at all. She has half the mind to think about what conversation she may want to have with Coyoteheart, but the vole is still fresh and she hadn't realized how hungry she was, so it almost immediately takes up her attention.

- Thunderclash's whiskers twitch in response to Stormpaw's comment. "I appreciate it," he says. He glances up, slightly confused as he sees Wolfbite and Leafpaw heading his way. He listens to Wolfbite as they speak, and he hums as he lets the thought roll around in his head. It wasn't in his initial plans for today, but as he mulls it over he figures it's pretty much the same as Willowstep assigning them to a patrol, and depending on how their own little patrol does can determine what he and Stormpaw do later. "That's fine," Thunderclash finally concedes, just as Stormpaw trots back with prey. The sight is vaguely amusing - his apprentice carrying a large bird and two voles. He can appreciate the determination, though. "After we've eaten is fine," he adds on, after a moment of consideration.
To Stormpaw, Thunderclash dips his head in silent thanks and settles down. He tears into the vole, mechanically chewing as he thinks. They would need to get a move-on soon, and hopefully Willowstep wouldn't mind them heading off on their own for their own border patrol. He doesn't think she should, but if the deputy has an issue with it then she can get over it. Thunderclash isn't very keen on changing his plans again. Briefly, he entertains the thought of asking what area along the border Wolfbite wanted to have them patrol, but for now he's content to eat the vole Stormpaw brought over for him. If his fellow warrior brings anything up, he may ask - otherwise, he's content to sit in silence (or as silent as it can with the apprentices likely going to turn into chattering starlings) until they leave.

- At Wolfbite's suggestion, Leafpaw feels herself grin. Patrols and training tend to be more fun when she has another apprentice with her, especially when it's her best friend. (there has been the occasional time where she feels like she has more to prove, that she's as good as the other apprentices, but she's gotten better about that.) Though, she thinks as she watches as Stormpaw pounces on Thunderclash with an amused snort, his mentor is a little hard to understand. And maybe that's mean, but it's honestly not like it matters. Stormpaw seems to respect him, so maybe it's just a her thing.
When Wolfbite beckons her to follow, she shakes her head clear of her thoughts and pads a tail-length behind them. She responds to Stormpaw's silent greeting with a small dip of her head. Leafpaw turns her head to watch as Stormpaw pads over to the prey pile, listening as their mentors spoke with a twitch of her whiskers. She watches as Thunderclash thanks Stormpaw, and turns her full attention back to him as he asks her something. She glances down at the bird - definitely big enough for them to share, especially considering she never has much of an appetite first thing in the mornings - and nods at him. "Sure," Leafpaw says, moving closer to him so it's less awkward for them to share the bird. "Thank you."

- Mothkit glances over at the nest she had just abandoned. Cinderkit and Lilykit seem to finally be waking up, but they always take forever to wake up and it feels like they never want to explore in the same way she does. She eyes Cinderkit - okay, maybe she's wrong about him. He does like to sleep in more than her or Lilykit.
With that thought in mind, Mothkit has the brief idea to run out of the den past Rosedapple to find Ivyscorch and pounce on her tail and demand her to let her out so she can explore. That idea, however, is immediately banished the second that she feels Tinyleaf's tongue between her ears. Mothkit melts instantly, closing her eyes as she purrs. She blinks up at Tinyleaf as the queen responds to Rosedapple, purr still a quiet rumble in her chest. Personally, she likes Tinyleaf a lot. Not near as much as Ivyscorch, but, still! She doesn't seem to care when Mothkit gets under her paws and is just super, super nice.
Across the den, Creamflower finishes her fish and stands to her paws. The movement causes Mothkit's attention to snap over to her, and she listens with half an ear as she announces she's going to find one of the warriors. As she leaves, Mothkit tilts her head in thought.
