The young apprentice let out a cry as he tried to reason with his friend ' Ebonypaw I wasn't tryin- ' he started but alas, his methods was futile as the feline let out one last menacing growl and settled next to his Mentor. Crowpaw took a step back in disbelief, how did it turn out like that? He only wanted to help but it seemed like his thoughts didn't convey as he had hoped... 'He shook his head and looked at the ground muttering a weak 'sorry'. He stared at the back of his friend ' I-I'm sorry E-Ebonypaw... I-...It won't.. ' The apprentice stumbled on his words, the earlier fight taking quite the toll on him as he reverted back to his meek self. He turned around and walked towards his mentor plopping himself down right behind him eyes filled with worry and sadness. He wished he could do something but it seemed like 'helping' will only make things worse..

She grinned and nodded once again as her apprentice immediately ran towards the small tower of meat and watched as she carefully picked a prey from the fast depleting pile,. The warrior reminded herself to go on a hunt even if she isn't assigned to a patrol or party today, possibly take copperpaw for a lesson or two plus it would be a great way for them to bond. The female she-cat still wondered where the long-haired tom was- he usually is never late regardless if there was a patrol or not, she was a little concerned however the feeling of someone brushing themselves behind her made her whiplash her head towards them. ' Well you certainly have a way of making yourself known don't you Eaglefoot? ' she pointed a questioning look towards him after the tom made himself known but then grumbled after hearing what the tom said ' I- wasn't looking for you...not-frantically that is..' The feline licked the tom's left ear retorting the earlier affection, though she isn't a used to it-or any affection for the most part of her life, she would definitely try her best to at least form a bond with the tom. Pinefeather grinned settling on a bit more comfortable pose 'I guess you're quite the sneaky cat now aren't you?' she finished before averting her attention to Copperpaw who brought back the hare ' My my, rabbits still in the pile? We're lucky Copperpaw, I usually see them get gulped first. ' She bit off a leg and pushed the rest to her apprentice. She wasn't too hungry and from all the running Copperpaw has done... she definitely needs the energy. Pinefeather's ears peeked up after hearing the smaller felines' words and she glanced at the tom next to her, wondering if he had heard it and waiting for his reaction.

He groggily yawned before falling down on the ground, the branch he was sleeping on broke from his weight but it was nothing new to him- This is his regular routine as a loner which he prefers, regardless of it being painful. He stood up and stretched himself and trotted towards a small pond a bit distance from his tree. He gulped a mouthful of the water, eyes staring directly at the water in case of any dangers while his ears are perked up high twitching every once in a while in case anything tries to attack him from behind. The tom stood up, and scanned his surroundings for anything to eat- Nothing seemed to be moving about- not even any birds flying about which was quite strange. It was quiet, too quiet and he didn't like it, one of the cons of being a loner is the lack of protection you get from your clan mates but in his mind, clans will eventually fight from the inside out so being in them is useless to the tom if it meant him losing another family.. another group of friends. He let out a bittersweet chuckle ' Hey brother, Swanfern? wherever you are, mind sending me a bird or a bunny or even a fish ... you know a little help wouldn't hur- ' Cypresspaw stopped in his tracks at the sound of movements in the grass... he readied himself with padded paws she slowly stalked his prey before pouncing on it, with one chomp the toad had no chance. He grinned and skitted happily like a little kit at his catch, it was his first meal in a day so he eagerly munched it all up, not letting any of the meat go to waste. Cypresspaw nodded towards the clouds, unsure if spirits really does exists or it was by pure luck, nonetheless he did it as a thanks.
