"Daddy is too stubborn. He doesn't think I'm strong enough to do stuff myself yet and doesn't trust me." Dolly's ear twitched then. Turning her head towards the Machop tilting her head curiously to the side, "You.....lost your best friend? I didn't think you liked other pokemon and that was why you are alone a lot. I had no idea. I'm sorry."

Caelan sighed, "Yeah, it's just been hard losing him, and I haven't really been very social since he passed. It's not your fault, I don't talk about it very often. If it helps, I'd go on a mission with you if your dad's ok with it."

The small fire type blinked looking at the male pokemon a bit stunned. Despite now knowing why, that didn't change the fact that it still surprised Dolly that he offered to go on a job with her. "Are-are you sure?", she asked Caelan, "You don't have to. I'm not very experianced so I may just jet in your way or annoy you."

"Don't worry about it, I don't mind teaming up, it would probably be best if I want to start making friends again. After I lost Slash, I become pretty lonely and anti-social, but I suppose making new friends is helpful to be at peace with the loss of an old friend." Caelan continued to look at the message board to see if there were any missions the two of them could do.

Dolly went back to eyeing the board glancing over each posting. She really wanted to prove herself and not hold Caelan back, but was a practical Vulpix too. If it was too hard then they wouldn't be able to complete it or she wouldn't be able to keep up with him. He'd likely dump her or make this their first and only time out together. After a minute or two, Dolly spotted a promising job and pulled it from the board to show the young Machop. "This can't be that difficult. It doesn't sound like it will be.", she said setting it at her paws.

Caelan looked at the mission and nodded, "Yeah, Tiny Woods isn't that hard of a dungeon. Do you think we should pack supplies just in case?"

"I think we should. We can pick up stuff on the way though right? We shouldn't need much, just stuff in case we run into a problem.", Dolly nodded eagerly in agreement. She attempted to contain her excitment but it wasn't a very successfull endeavour. The small female got to her paws, curled tails wagging from side to side.

Caelan nodded, "Right, a few Oran Berries should be enough, we can get some from the supply closet here at HQ"

"Then what are we waiting for!? We have a job....and have to ask Daddy first too of course..." That last bit made the young Vulpix a bit nervous, though she did her best to keep it in check. She had to look as confident as possible.
