--Devour-- [Dog/Zombie] (Yes, you read that right)

[Collie]

Blue gazed down slightly sympathetic of the wretched creature, it had brought itself to exhaustion. One rule blazed through her brain, never over work yourself. Exhaustion is you worst enemy, she thought. No matter how hard you fought, regardless the distance you covered, if you worked yourself into the ground...they would find you....they didn't sleep.

She noted the desperation in the female's voice, remaining at her side. She hoped in her gut that the snide remark of her looking at the dalmation as a meal was merely an ill-humoured joke, but the situation lacked such satire. In the pit of her stomach she could feel the hunger rasping, there was little doubt that by now some had already resulted to cannibalism. 'I would sooner die,' she thought. 'Please let me die sooner than I commit such treason.

"Get up," she murmered, her voice a low growl. Her ears flicked to the left, eyes darting in search of visitors, it wouldn't be long now, not with the stench of blood that this female was leaving. She ignored the threats the female had made, and lunged for her throat, she would be too weak to resist. Her teeth took a firm grasp on the back of the spotted dog's collar, locking her jaws shut, she focused on heaving the dalmation to its feet.

Molly watched with a bored expression on her face as the events unfolded in front of her. She snorted when the dog threatened her. It wasn't in any position to pick a fight, injured as it was. She continued to simply observe as it collapsed on the pavement, exhaustion finally taking over. First lesson: Never overwork yourself, she thought snidely. The Border Collie turned and was about to continue on her way when she caught scent of another dog, approaching fast.

Her defenses went up, and she whisked around, hackles raised. However, this newcomer didn't seem the least bit interested in her; she walked right up to the dalmatian. Molly took a few tentative steps forward, just in time to hear the dalmatian's weak threat. She almost laughed out loud again. "You're a trooper, aren't you?" she murmured to herself.

Seemingly giving up on threats, the female (as she could now scent) resorted to asking for help. Molly narrowed her eyes and suspicion set in. Perhaps this is a trap? Maybe the dalmatian is just bait for...for something. The young stray took a few more steps forward. As much as she hated it, her conscience wouldn't let her leave an injured dog alone. As the other female pulled the dalmatian to her feet, Molly spoke. "There's a few sheltered alleys down that way," she said, jerking her head towards the direction she had come from. She glanced at the sky and shivered as a strong gust of wind blew through her fur. "We have to hurry though. Looks like a storm is brewing."

Appearance: All white, with the characteristic fluffy ears and tail. She has a slim build- after all, her breed was created for racing. Her pawpads are black, and her eyes are a nice shiny blue. She has a blue collar on- she knows she doesn't need it anymore now that her owner has passed on, but she just can't get rid of it. She just..... Just can't.

Appearance:
Seeing as her breed is a husky, she resembles a wolf, even more so because of the labrador husky's closer relation to wolves. She used to be quite pretty by human standards, but now she has several major flaws that ruin her appearance, these being a scar that twists down her left hind leg and her blind eye that is cloudy blue and appears infected. Darky's eye that remains normal is a natural blue color. Her tail is long and very fluffy. She has a black 'mask'-like marking on her face that also covers her ears. Her base fur color is a dirty cream color with black on her shoulders, tail tip, and hindquarters. The cream color goes up into her mask a little bit. Her nose is a chocolatey color. Darky has large paws and that are also black, with the exception of her front right paw.

[ Accepted, Dark Koneko. But not runufooie; it's a special occasion a dog lives past fifteen or so with human owners and getting shots and getting fed everyday. In a world where dogs are constantly on the move and prey isn't exactly bountiful, she'd be DTE, Deader Than Elvis, by now. :< ]


"This is getting to be quite crowded." Fury muttered as her gaze kept flickering between the dog who was coming closer and the zombie, which required her to turn a great amount. He, for it smelled like a he, unlike the smaller mutt in near proximity, was obviously a more formidable opponent. The dead thing was struggling against gravity to get back upright as it came to one knee. It spied more prey and toppled over once more. (Moron.) she thought, watching it with a certain amount of disdain; it wasn't even able to get back up. She turned her attention to that of the latest arrival to the scene, her back to the former human. "It would be great if you actually had a ha--" her words twisted to a higher pitch, then into a pained yelp as the clutches of the Undead found her tail. Her claws scraped across the pavement in a futile attempt to hold her ground. The viselike grip was pulling her right towards the open and waiting jaws of that which she had been nearly mocking not even a minute earlier..

Jasper
Don't stop to let it pass you by,
You've got to look yourself in the eye and say, "I am wonderful."

Jasper kept his mouth shut after Fury's words and watched the zombie closely with wide, terrified eyes. His whole body trembled and his large, furry ears were pressed to his skull. When Samson appeared he instantly shrunk again, spinning around in a small, chaotic circle. Jasper had a tendency to spin in circles such as these when his fear had the better of him and this was proving to be one of those moments as he spun, stared at the zombie, looked to the dogs around him, then spun a few more times.

The moment he heard Fury's voice rise and glanced at the zombie's clutch on her tail, the little dog lost his bearings, "Oh, I told you this would happen! Look at what he's doing! Your tails going to be gone and you'll be to blame, not me. Oh no, no, no. Certainly not me. I warned you!" And the little dog continued with his terrified circles.

With people running circles it's a very, very mad world.

Kiwi couldn't hold back the yelp of pain that came from her jaws as Blue pulled her to her feet. After the pain, Kiwi roared with rage, her throat throwing infuriated growls out like candy, "Let go! Let go of me now!" Even though Kiwi's voice was angry, her body wasn't resisting in the slightest and it almost looked.. limp as she dragged herself beside Blue. The dog's eyes darted to Molly and glared for a quick moment, "Trooper? You're calling me a trooper?! What exactly were you expecting?"

Kiwi's blood was dried to her pelt by now and the wounds that caused this dog could finally be seen. They were large enough to cause this dog pain, but still small enough to heal quickly so she could run and fight again. Several littered her ribs and one or two were across her face but the worst of them was the one across her hind leg. It was rather large indeed, but still, it could heal.. All Kiwi needed was so rest, which she knew was hard to come by these days. Perhaps it was just better to lay down and die.. The thought barely crossed Kiwi's mind when she shook the thought away. Give up? Kiwi? You've got to be dreaming.
