Morningstar purred softly as his clan wakes, motioning his deputy, Ravensong, over with a flick of his tail and murmuring to her.
"Send some kalons down around the snake tree, would you? I'd like to get a good store of green beetles started, and they're maturing early this season."

Blazeheart flicked his ears, skipping over to Adderjaw.
"Good morning." He murmured as he dipped his head. "Just the kalon I wanted to see. What do you think of sending out a gathering party? I heard from the elders that the raspberries are just getting ripe around this time of year." He tilted his head to Pinefur in reply. "Perhaps you and Shallowpaw could come with if we do go out."

Batfang dipped his head as Nettlestorm passed, watching the medicine kal disappear into her den. He felt his chest tingle with warmth- he was hit with a wave of feeling, so glad their clan was so strong. It had been here for generations before he was born and would continue to be here long, long after he walked among the stars. He stood up, suddenly energized and ready to go out and hunt, turning to see if any of his fellow warriors were awake yet.

As for the mentor/apprentice question- you can work out mentors/apprentices between each other, or have your mentor/apprentice be an npc kalon! My three kalons (morningstar of shineclan, blazeheart of lightclan and batfang of cloudclan) are each available to mentor an apprentice if needed! ))

Nettlestorm riffled through the herbs, gently re-stacking leaves that had tumbled over. She frowned at the two small leaves of dock. Nettlestorm didn't especially want to wake her fellow medicine kal apprentice, as she had to deal with cloudpaw constantly anyways. She slipped out of the den, peering around the cave.
"Batfang," Nettlestorm padded up to the dark kal, "Would you mind accompanying me while I search for Dock? It mainly grows on the edge of our territory and I'm sure coldgaze will have a cow if I go out there alone."

Adderjaw peered at the food pile, and nodded to Blazeheart.
"Good idea, we are getting quite low. Shallowpaw, go wake your mentor Poppytail before they melt into that nest permanently.
For such minor wounds she would have been just fine hours ago." Adderjaw rolled his eyes, but there was a hint of jesting in his monotone voice.

BrambleThorn [LightClan, He/Him, Medicine Kal]

Bramblethorn laid in the den, he'd been awake for a while but actually leaving the nest was a hassle he didn't feel like going through. It was a necessary need though, he reluctantly lifted himself up and out. From the corner of his eye he spotted the already on guard Poppytail again. He'd told her she was good to go but she was comfy so he didn't have the heart to say leave. He peaked outside to see the camp awake and active. It made him happy to see everyone so joyful.
He began to walk around, greeting those out and about.
"Morning sleepy kit.", laughed Bramblethorn passing by Shallowpaw.
"Good to see you, Blazeheart. You too, Adderjaw.", he mouthed slightly afraid to interrupt.
"Hope you slept well, Pinefur.", chirped Bramblethorn. That was enough time around the camp right? It was to him at least, he returned to the medicine den to await his few patients.

Ravensong stretches as she leaves her nest in the warriors den and comes to stand in front of the clan leader. She dipped her head respectfully as she walked over. "Of course, I'll go find some kalons to go and I'll lead them myself, unless you need me to do anything else first?" She asked calmly.

The tiny apprentice sat outside the medicine den and blinked his eyes as sunlight stretched over the grass. He let out a huge yawn and looked around for Bramblethorn or Sunflick to see if they needed his help. He'd only been an apprentice for one moon and he hadn't learned everything yet of course, but he tried his best to remember what he had, even if he did forgot things sometimes.

The grey kalon walked out of the warriors den slowly, blinking the sleep out his eyes. He glanced around the camp to see if any patrols were being organized or if anyone was going out to patrol or hunt. He had been sick during the first few months of newleaf and was glad to be able to get back out and do his job in helping his clan.

Shallowpaw gave a short, respectful nod to Adderjaw. She craved some sort of action or adventure, and perhaps that could be found with her mentor anyhow. With a swish of her tail she was already heading to the warrior's den, where she knew Poppytail would be slumbering. On silent paws she crept inside, spotting her prey and sneaking up quietly. Finally, in a loud voice, she chirruped, "Are you ready yet, Poppytail?" It would be funny to see the warrior startled awake, and Shallowpaw waited eagerly for the reaction.

Pinefur beamed brightly at being addressed by the medicine Kalon, answering with a polite, "Yes, I did, thank you!" He stood up and shook his thick fur out, quietly padding along to walk alongside Bramblethorn. As nervous as he was, it wasn't often Pinefur ventured to start conversations, but this one was worth pursuing, - besides, Pinefur didn't have any orders yet, and it would be nice to see if he could help out a bit! "How about you? Are you doing well?"
