paw, Then we will see if you've learnt anything." She
mumbled as she remember a Mouse that had bit her
paw one day. Arid nodded once more but with Annoy-
ance. "Yea, I can tell you these dirty loners have been
crossing my territory. I know they smell my marking,
Brats I say." Arid gulped and tapped Maisy's flank
with her tail as she noticed a mouse scurryin' across a
small tree.

Duskpaw slowly pushed out from between the ferns and squinted in the sunlight, looking around the clearing. The cats he saw were fuzzy and there was an opaque film across everything he saw but he could identify them through scent. He sat down at the entrance, wrapping his tail around his paws and basked in the sunlight, enjoying the moment of quiet before cats began approaching him.

Tawnypaw rolled over in her nest and yawned, blinking her eyes open. She sprang to her feet when she realized how late it was. Tawnypaw raced out, looking around for her mentor. She bounded over to Pineshadow and skidded to a stop,
licking down her chest fur in embarrassment, "I'm sorry I slept in," she mewed, looking up sheepishly, "I was exhausted."

S T O R M

Storm finished up her mouse and sat up, licking her jaws. She padded out the abandoned twoleg nest and towards the edge of the forest, towards the twoleg nests. Storm wondered if she'd encounter any kittypets this early on--it wasn't too early for her, but most kittypets didn't leave their nests until sunhigh to sunbathe.

Foxpaw padded over to the freshkill pile and dropped the last vole he caught on top, taking a small mouse for himself. He wasn't too hungry and he was excited to go out again and investigate the foxhole.

H A W K W I N G

Hawkwing settled down next to Dapplestep and nodded to Foxpaw as he added more prey to the pile and took a mouse. He followed the apprentice with his eyes for a while, amazed at the amount of energy he had in his small body before returning his attention to his mate and the food. He bit into the flank of the squirrel and tore off a morsel, pushing it over to Dapplestep, "It's the best part," he purred, nodding for her to eat it.

ArrowKit was currently in the nursery, as he was supposed to be. He found it stupid that he couldn't really go anywhere because he was 'just a kit.'. He could do just fine on his own! At least, that's what he thought. It was a bit too early for him to scamper off on one of his adventures, though. He'd get caught too easily, and that's not what he was about.

SpottedStar nodded as her Greystep walked off. The she-cat began to walk to the River due to feeling a pit parched. She heard the chatter of some cats as she walked, smiling and appreciating that every-cat was getting along and talking. She stopped by the river's edge, dipping her head and beginning to lap up some water.

Prince jerked his head up in excitement when his brother pointed out the two cats. His interest was peaked,
especially since they were females. The younger brother seemed to groom himself a bit before pressing on in a confident stride towards the two. Without thinking, he began to speak. "Hello ladies~" he purred as he got closer.

Chance watched his brother in annoyance. "That doesn't mean we have to-" he stopped as his brother just passed him to the females. "Are you kidding me?!" he hissed quietly, bounding after his brother. "Prince!" He said angrily, coming up behind him and looking at the two she-cats. "Apologies for my brother's RUDE interruption." He said, glaring at Prince. He wans't a fan of socializing, but sometimes Prince forced him into these situations by acting and not thinking.

Maizy bit her lip to muffle her laughter. Oh she could see it now. Clear as day. Her rough
and tumble friend getting bested by an itty bitty mouse. Sending Arid a cheeky look she
scoffed, “You’re only saying that because you got bit.” Not that Maizy knew this
with any sort of certainty, though admittedly it was now a concern. She didn’t actually
want to get bit by anything out here. She didn’t know what’d been in it’s mouth. Yuck.
Her eyes were flicking around, searching for movement and only stopped to acknowledge
Arid confirming what she’d been suspecting all along. “Make sure you’re careful then. Maybe
switch your nesting spot every so --” The tap was barely felt but it was enough to stop her cold
and Maizy was quick to pinpoint the reason for the interruption. She froze there, stock still with
a bewildered look. She hadn’t actually expected to find something so soon… Maizy flashed her
friend a timorous glance before she hunkered down and started forward because she could
totally do this. She’d been practicing and everything, not a single sock or shoelace had been
safe from her. All of that training, all of that effort, it’d amount to something right here, right now!

"Hello ladies~"

The mouse was gone betwixt one blink and the next, frightened off by the (un)timely arrival of two
toms. Maizy was none-too-pleased, staring in disappointment at the spot where the rodent had once
been before rounding on the pair with an unimpressed look. "You scared away my breakfast." she mrowed
unhappily.

"I apologize, M'lady." he purrs, lifting his head back up, trying to put on his 'charm' that he did with most she-cats he came across.

Chance only rolled his eyes once again at his brother. "Would you quit?" he said, kicking the younger sibling with his hind leg. "It's bad enough we intruded because of your stupid tendencies to interact with every cat you see...especially females."
he sneered, looking off somewhere else to avoid the other's gazes.

Tawnypaw gave a small hop of joy and flicked her tail happily at the prospect of learning something that no one else would know. She gave a sly glance over at Foxpaw gulping down a mouse and narrowed her eyes, basking in the knowledge that soon, she would know so much more than he would. More than any apprentice knew so far. Tawnypaw briefly considered gloating, but kept her mouth shut, scared that Pineshadow wouldn't show her if he found out that she told Foxpaw about the secret moves. She instead padded over to her brother, dropping a mouse at his feet, "Have you eaten yet?" she asked, unable to mask the concern in her voice.

Duskpaw lashed his tail slightly as Tawnypaw came over and dropped prey at his feet. He looked up at her, forcing his fur to lie flat and meowed flatly, "Not yet, thank you," he said. His sister was only looking out for him, he knew, but he hated how she always seemed to be peering over his shoulder and in his business since his eyes started to go bad. Duskpaw crouched to take a bite of the mouse but he had no appetite anymore, and the morsel he bit off felt dry and tasteless in his mouth.
He shoved it away with a paw and mumbled, "You can have the rest," before brushing past her to leave the camp. Perhaps he'd go out to gather more herbs. They were running low on many things.
