The small calico's body lurched, her tail and shoulders rising at the sudden voice behind her. "Oh! You startled me..." Her pelt growing hit with embarrassment at the thought of letting a cat sneak up on her that wasn't even trying. "Y-you just missed Bluepaw and Oakpaw, they left for training. A hard working cat like you would have shown them a thing or two about fighting; or stalking." She adds after a pause, feeling like she was rambling for no particular reason. She and Bluepaw were the youngest and least experienced apprentices, the others were around ten moons old so she often felt small around them.

"S-Sorry!" Mosspaw mewed, sulking backwards as almost a submissive apology. "No, I wasn't planning on training with them." He grew hot at her praise, he gravitated towards her for no in particular reason, maybe it was because she was so nice. "T-thanks. Hey want to go for a walk, I'm sure our mentors can wait to start training." The Tom exclaimed happily, excitement gleaming in his blue eyes.

It would be rude to say the warriors were far too busy laying around for apprentices, so the calico bit back the smug remark. She'd love to train on her hunting since fighting came so naturally to her, but two apprentices were quiet enough to possibly give her that chance. "Sure, in Greenleaf with the sun warming the ground before it's even up... I bet the trees will be sheltering some sleepy prey fat from nuts and seeds." She meows cheerfully, guessing the other to could have their own fun for now; with or without her.

Bluepaw yelped as the tom pushed her over. "ow!" she whined, lifting a paw gingerly as if it were injured. "Okapaw that hurt!" The she-cat put on a pout, attempting to convince the other apprentice that she were truly injured by his sudden attack. And she was a decent actor too, at least, she thought so.

Mosspaw darted towards the side of the camp, it would be easy to slip out undetected here. "C'mon!" He whispered, slipping out of camp making a minimal amount of noise as he did so. He whirled around to see if Cloverpaw was still in pursuit, he purred happily, this would be much more fun than training. They could practically do whatever they wanted.

Her white paws were silent as snow as she followed the older tom, not sure if they could properly defend themselves if anything did happen. She took comfort in thinking someone would notice they were gone after a while, but then again she was pretty invisible. "Where are we going? Or is it some kind of surprise, or mystery?" Exploring sounded just as fun as sneaking away to moonpool or the hunting grounds. Having only been training for hardly a moon, the forest still had many untouched places for her to find.

"We'll go exploring! We can find all sorts of new things, and plus we don't have to change bedding!" Mosspaw mewed as he padded forward, the undergrowth felt nice on his soft paws, and being away from camp brought all sorts of new and unfamiliar scents. Now, he had thought he had seen most of the territory but he knew for sure his mentor hadn't shown him the whole thing, he could tell because his mentor showed him only a section and claimed the rest was for another day.

Her orange and white tail waves behind her at his words, pondering places they hardly ever explored. "There's that rule about crossing the river, but I wonder what's downstream. It's hard to scent the borders between the mud and water, but I bet there's lots of horsetail and water shrew there." She wasn't positive how far the border went up or downstream, it was always hard to tell if no markers had been placed in the last two days.

(I like both names, but Willowbreeze strikes me as more traditional not that it's a big deal. Splashwhisker is a fun name ^^)
