Lilystream stretched and yawned. She opened her eyes and let them adjust to the sun that shone into the warrior's den. With a sudden realisation of how much she had slept she leapt to her feet. She ducked her head in shame as she exited the den and felt the late morning breeze against her fur. This was the first times overslept since she was an apprentice. She stifled another yawn and scanned the camp. Most cats had already left for their patrols.

Skylar stood alone in the forest. That was how she liked it. Ever since she had been a kit and her father had abandoned her and her mother she had been untrusting of other cats. She didn't understand how the cats that called themselves warriors could stand being together all the time. All cramped in a small camp with limited territory to hunt in. She had the whole world to hunt in and she could sleep where ever she wanted to. She flicked her tail in disgust of the idea of being a clan member. She dismissed the thoughts and carried on hunting.

A low purr escaped the depths of her throat. A ways away from the warrior's den, she was sunning herself in a weak patch of sunlight, allowing it to soak into her fluffy pelt. Blossomlight had been earlier to wake than most despite not having been chosen for a dawn patrol; it was a luxury she indulged in considering another hunting patrol was already out. When she opened her eyes and lifted her head, she spotted Lilystream exiting the warrior's den, and flicked her tail in greeting to her denmate.

Awareness trickled into Echo's thoughts as he finally began to wake up, feeling the sensation of his body pressing into Raven's as he stretched out beside him. His brother was still sleeping soundly; he had no idea when he'd come back in, but he was always grateful to wake up beside his brother each day, even if they didn't fall asleep together. He ran his tail affectionately across Raven's spine and sat up as soon as he blinked the sleep from his eyes, salmon tongue rasping over a raised, pewter-hued paw.

Lilystream purred a greeting to Blossomlight. She padded over and sat beside her in the shade enjoying the cool breeze that cut through her fur and touched her skin. She considered going hunting but decided she would make the best of her sleeping in and just relax for a bit and instead join the next patrol. She glanced at the she-cat beside her luxuriating in the warm late morning sun. "How are you," she asked politely, already knowing the answer from the content in the she-cat's eyes.

Elijah felt his eye lids open, the sun was blocked from the exit of the cavern and the bird which was in front of him was letting off this nausea smell. He slowly stood up, trying not to hit his head on the roof of the cave. He grabbed the dead bird by it's wing, going through the tight tunnel and out of the yellow flowered bush. He quickly dug a small hole for the bird, burying it afterwards. Elijah felt his heart race. He heard cats talking. He looked around the forest, angling his ears to find out which direction it was coming from. He narrowed his eyes when he found the loudest direction. It was coming from the rocks. He felt his heart beat's speed up even more. He quickly ducked back into the tunnel, a loud sound coming from the bush.

Stormpaw carefully put her paw between two rocks, the same spot where Elijah put his paw. She leaned down, sniffing the blood. Her eyes went wide. Elijah! Stormpaw felt panic surge inside her, should she lie? Tell the truth? What if they kill him? She put a confused expression on her face when she turned back to Willowpelt. "I'm not sure, it smells of a rouge or loner. You don't think it's a Flameclan cat do you?" She asked, trying her best to act surprise and concerned. She looked back at the blood, shivering she stepped out of the rocky area. Now that she knew it was Elijah who was in the area she could smell him more clearly, he must of came through here recently...

Skylar continued hunting. She parted her jaw and sniffed the air in search of prey. She could smell the strong scent of the warriors. She didn't think much of it. The breeze always pulled their scent over to where she liked to hunt. Disgusted by the smell of so many cats she wrinkled her nose. She walked on. Without noticing she had crossed the border and walked quite far into Cloudclan's territory. She finally smelled a squirrel and just after saw it climbing down a tree and snatching something off the ground. Skylar crouched and prepared the leap on to her prey.

Her teeth bared, pelt bristled. "Flame Clan...", she mumbled, head shaking. "This isn't the scent of Flame Clan. This scent seems too familiar...", she grumbled, her paw resting back onto soft dirt. Her ears perked as she heard the faintest rustle in the bushes. Her head lowered as she stumbled towards the noise, eyes narrowed. Did I just see a flash of fur? "Greetings?" Her tone was curious and cautious. Her tail signaled for Rabbitfoot and Stormpaw to come close.

The tom felt sweat start to form under his fur when he heard the faint sound of a she-cat. He held his breath, going to the corner of the dark cavern. Who are they? Cloudclan? Flameclan? Those loners? Will they kill me? What if they find out i'm here... Will they hurt Stormpaw too? Elijah closed his eyes, putting his head down, hiding his white fur. He lowered his ears, letting them blend in with his black coat.

Stormpaw felt herself stop breathing when she heard the rustling of a bush. She looked over at Willowpelt, taking a step closer to her. She felt herself grow warm, sweat forming underneath her dark tabby fur. She let out a big breath of air, lowering her ears. "M-Maybe it was a fox?" She stuttered, cursing under her breath at her stutter. She flicked her tail, letting it curl around her leg. She looked at the two older cats. If they found Elijah, what would they do to him? She had to act. And quickly. "Why don't we go back to the camp? We can warn Ebonystar!" She gasped, forgetting that their leader had authority to stop them from finding Elijah. Wait, but then she can send a bigger patrol after him! Maybe they'll think it is a fox or badger and try to kill him! Oh starclan... Stormpaw felt herself shift her weight between her legs, sighs of nervousness clearly written on her.

Willowpelt nodded, her tail pointing towards camp. "Stormpaw, you can go run back to camp and notify Ebonystar. We can not have this cat escape. Well, I think it is at least a cat..." Her tail was lowered, head raising in confusion. Where is this cat? Her green eyes flickered with confusion as she looked around, pelt smoothing. Is this all in in my imagination? Her whiskers twitched as she sniffed the air. No, this is real. Her eyes narrowed as she looked around, pelt ruffled. The scent of cat was too strong.

He flicked his ears, trying to figure something out. I'm not fast. I'm not skilled in climbing or swimming. How can I escape? Then it struck him. He stood up, slowly sneaking to the tunnel, climbing through the tight space until he reached the bush. He carefully made his way to the end of the bush, using his claws to make a small hole for him to look out of it. His dark oak eyes saw the cats, two warriors. He silently hissed, looking around the bush for something to distract them. He saw a small rock, bending down he picked it up in his mouth. He looked around the bush. Nothing could stop him from making noise, but maybe he could make enough noise someplace else to buy him time to run.

Stormpaw felt her heart stop. Her eyes were wide. She was about to protest, but she knew if she did Willowpelt would know she knew. "Alright, be safe." Stormpaw dipped her head, turning and using her speed to dart out of the forest, trying to avoid brambles and thorns. Elijah, please... be safe... Stormpaw made it to the River, leaping onto the log, not bothering to dig her claws in but dart across it with all her strength. She leapt off the end, almost losing her balance. She saw the hill where the camp was, the rock visible. She dug her claws into the soft earth, speeding up the hill.
