ashenpaw let out a sleepy groan and rolled over in his nest. "five more minutes." he mumbled, his eyes still closed.

"well," fawnwhisker mewed as she glanced down at her kits, "alderkit doesn't usually give a fuss. harekit though takes a bit to calm down and go to sleep. he's so energetic and won't go to sleep so he wakes up late. and then he's wide awake later and the cycle just goes on and on." the mother chuckled and turned back to the expecting queen, "so do you know how much longer until you're kits will be born?"

"Let's go then." Lionstripe waited for him and padded towards the entrance. He sat down at the entrance and waited patiently for the others.

Softstep opened her pale blue eyes, but there wasn't any difference between what she saw when she was awake, or asleep. The young she-cat sighed and sat up in her nest, listening to the inside of the medicine den creak and buzz. Softstep stood up, her ears perked as she made her way to the den entrance, she remembered when she fist moved into the medicine den, and how she kept bumping into the wall right next to the entrance because of the overwhelming smell of herbs distracting her. Shaking that silly memory away, Softstep carefully padded out of the den, stepped sideways, then sitting right out side of the herb den, hearing the soft murmur of cats waking from their nightly slumber.
