Pinesky sorted the herbs in the herb store with locked-in concentration, only pausing to look up when Ivypaw began talking to someone. "Who is that?," he mewed, rising to his paws and shaking out his short fur. He padded up behind her, looking puzzled as he saw Tidestar walking away. "What did he want?," he murmured to his apprentice.

Crowsplash crouched low to the ground, being sure to keep her long fur from disturbing the leaves beneath her, her eyes trained on a mouse. Dragging her body forward as silently as she could, she crawled steadily toward the plump mouse. This would be great for Greystreak, she thought. He was always so sad all the time and she just wanted to cheer him up! Gathering her haunches beneath her, she leaped, a streak of black in the early morning sun, and sat up with the mouse in her jaws.

Larkspots tucked his paws beneath his chest, his eyes half closed as he studied the clearing. It was warm today and the sun cut through his long fur like a beam. Raising his head at the sight of Tidestar, his had been about to get up and approach the stranger when he was distracted by Ivypaw. She was very pretty today and his ears turned hot when he thought about talking to her. She was an apprentice! And his brother's apprentice at that- it couldn't be that bad. He stood and went over to them, flicking his tail in greeting. "Pinesky, Ivypaw," he said. "What's Tidestar doing here?"

Greystreak sighed and laid his chin on the rim of his nest, his eyes closed against the sun. He hadn't gotten up today but no one had told him he was needed. He'd wait until Crowsplash came to get him.

Ivypaw looked over at her mentor, her soft, tortoiseshell fur ruffling in the breeze. "I have no idea. We haven't heard anything from TideClan in moons! I don't even remember the last time we talked to Creammaze, Dewpaw, or Sweetrose!" she said, nervously bouncing on her toes. She looked over at Larkspots, worry and excitement sparking in her ivy green eyes.

Worry churned in Tidestar's stomach. Will Ashstar greet me like an old friend? Or a loathed enemy? Tidestar sighed, surely she hadn't done anything to MeadowClan in moons! The noble leader didn't show her anxiousness as she straightened herself up to her full height. "Greetings, Ashstar, how are you?" She meowed, her tone not hostile, but not the friendliest either. Tidestar wanted Ashstar to make the first move, to see how she'd rest her in return. That would set the tone of the conversation. Tidestar's face remained expressionless, looking as if the flood never happened. The only clue of the hurricane's watery problem was her damp fur.

Dawnheart looked outside of the nursery at the Leader of TideClan. Her eyes widened as she saw her pad over to Ashstar.


Ivypaw narrowed her eyes. "She doesn't even have a patrol with her. She's alone!"

Hello there Tidestar, what are you doing here? Well, we may go into my den and talk privately, follow me, she meowed smoothly with a little hint of hostile she looked around seeing if she had a patrol with her, she did not. Ashstar looked at Larkspots and Oakfur and waved her tail to the entrance of camp, showing them to check it out anyways. Though the she-cat hadn't done anything to Meadowclan she still thought of the leader knowing their camp and where they settled at night. She walked into her den and sat down, licking her paw and stroking it onto her forehead. She soon stopped and looked at the she-cat who had the name of Tigerstar. She growl quietly in frustration. So why are you here? What do you want? What do you need? she said squinting her eyes at the leader and her tail waving back in forth silently. She hated knowing that Tigerstar knew everything about their camp now, or where they lived at least but they probably already knew that she worried in frustration anyways.

Thistlefur heard rustling outside of the warriors den as the day began. Slowly stretching his legs, Thistlefur began to groom the scraps of moss that clung to his spiky yet downy soft fur. Finishing up, he padded out of the den.
