The young tom paused mid-lick at the faint sound of pawsteps, and lifted his head. His pale golden gaze rested upon his mentor, and immediately Wasppaw got to his paws, unable to hide his interest. Were they gonna go train, or something? He tilted his head, but Snowstar wasn't heading his way. The apprentice sat back down and watched the leader for a few moments, then resumed washing his pelt until it was in better condition, all smoothed and soft.

She finally cast a quick glance back to the other to, noting especially her apprentice's proud manner in which she walked. Creeksight swished her tail slightly and then faced ahead again, tilting up her muzzle and drawing in the odors of the forest. After a few more moments of peaceful walking, she came to a steady halt and peered ahead. "I do believe there's a nest of mice ahead." she murmured, sniffing again. The she-cat stepped closer, winding around a clump of ferns. "Perhaps one of us should rush in and scare them out so the other two can catch them." she suggested quietly.

Snowstar looked over at his apprentice, then padded over, swerving gracefully around the broken stump in the center of the camp, and stopped in front of Wasppaw. "Wasppaw, after a few of the others return, what do you say we go and do battle practice in the training clearing?" He asked, ears pricking slightly as he said this. Even though he was the Clan leader, he was still rather young, and was secretly just as excited about the idea as he would be if he were an apprentice himself

Foxpaw looked over at her mentor. "I might be able to do it. I'm quiet, I could get around them to scare them in your direction." She offered, making sure to keep quiet

{ i always get a tingly feeling when some calls me katniss xD i plan on making a 2 toms and elder and a rogue so hold ya horses xP }She walked into camp holding a fat mouse in her mandibles as she walked into camp dipping her head to Snowstar avoiding eyes as she set down her prey and starting cleaning her fur full of brambles and thorns; as her ears started to swivel, the leaf scent.still stuck in her nose as she sneezed violently, when she finished her fur felt feathery soft beside her scar running across her back.

Satisfied his fur was in good condition now, Wasppaw looked up and gazed around camp once more. He started slightly when he noticed Snowstar heading his way. Perhaps they were going to do something now! He pricked his ears, eyes lighting up as the tom paused before him. It wasn't exactly what he wanted to hear, but he could do with that. He nodded brightly. "Okay!" he rumbled.

The she-cat twitched her ears, gaze flicking over to the young apprentice. "Sure, let's see you try." she answered simply, leaning back and narrowing her eyes as she stared through the trees towards where she guessed the nest was. She didn't bother waiting for consent from Brackenstorm; and didn't really care.

Foxpaw tensed up, then relaxed, letting out a soft breath as she did. She dropped, slinking, keeping her tail to the ground and the tip pointed towards the source of the scent. She worked her way around, determined not to mess up and disappoint the others. She was almost there when she felt a twig under her paw at the next step. She pulled her paw back. Nice try, twig she thought triumphantly. Easing over again, she leaned forwards. Now to pounce. If it went as planned, the mice would go straight to Creeksight and Brackenstorm. Just one more-
Whoops. Too far of a lean. She tipped forwards a bit, bumping her muzzle in the dirt. Leaves rustled, and the mice were up and alert, starting to bolt. Bounding forwards, embarrassed by her fumble, she attempted to herd the mice to run from her to the others.

Snowstar flipped his tail, caught up in the enthusiasm. "Great! I'll call you when some of the others get back then!"

Wasppaw dipped his head happily, and reclined back with a satisfied grunt. He stretched out his paws and wrapped his tail around his haunches. It was a nice little patch of sunlight he had here, too. He wasn't too sleepy, since he'd had quite a good long slumber, but it was very relaxing, and he found his eyelids drooping. It wouldn't hurt to nap before training, he decided, sliding onto his side.

Creeksight watched her apprentice head away through the undergrowth. Still as stone, she waited. She could just faintly make out flickers of reddish fur through the ferns and bracken. She heard a louder rustle, and the prey stirred, yet it hadn't been a full on scare. She wondered if Foxpaw had slipped up before she'd reached a perfect spot. Narrowing her gaze again, Creeksight watched as the apprentice burst through the foliage a moment later, sending the mice fleeing. The warrior darted forwards, snatching out a paw to pin one mouse, and then twisting around to grab another in her jaws and kill it instantly. By the time she'd straightened again the others had left, but perhaps the other warrior had caught some too. She collected both mice and dug a small spot to bury them in.

She slithered into the shadows quieter than a mouse yawning licking her lips from the blood that lingered on the from the prey silently deciding to take a nap she curled into a ball her eyelids drooping sleepily.
