Featherstone looked up at his leader and shook his head.
"I should stay back and see if anything needs to be taken care of while you're gone," he said, looking over the warriors again. His gaze rested on Smallbird and he smiled at her before he stepped aside to let them go.

Rabbitfur nodded, then stretched.
"The patrol has Shinestar going with them. I'm sure they'll be fine. I'll make sure my brother's fed and cared for." He licked a paw and dragged it over his ears, cleaning them. "And stay and protect camp."

My ears flicked. I heard an adder scuffling along the dusty sand. I get in a hunters crouch, pinpointing the snake. I leap as I wrestled with it. Finally, with one bite with my cat fangs, it lays there bleeding. I dust some sand over it to come back later and pick it up. I smile up at sunburst.
