Kestrelstar stared down at the body of Jaywing, sadness clouding his gaze. He still found it hard to believe that the gray tabby tom had been plotting such an evil scheme in the back of his mind. He turned to Foxcloud and dipped his head to her. "I'm so sorry for this, Foxcloud. You...ya shouldn't've had to choose like that. An' Jaywing shouldn't've treated ya like that either. Half-Clan or not, we're all still part o' AshClan, an' we should all be treated with respect."

Sully shifted nervously from paw to paw, unsure of what to do or say. "Um...y'all akay?" he asked Foxcloud as he gave the scratch on her cheek one more awkward lick.

Cinderfrost nodded. "Yeah, I'm fine! Don't worry about me."

"Fine." Foxcloud mewed, lining her body up with Jaywing's. "he was mostly right-I'd be dead without the Clan. My loner parents didn't want me. Frosteyes only took me from pity." She looked up at the cats. "I'm fine."
