He yowled, waiting for the clan to gather. When they had, he continued. "Though the recent floods have left us with few fish and few nests, StreamClan remains strong. Today is a special day, a day where two young kits become apprentices. HoneyKit, HickoryKit, step forward."

WhirlPaw sat next to SalmonPaw and her brother, AdderPaw. AdderPaw was looking around bored, ducking his head as usual trying not to be teased. WhirlPaw, who seemed to be the only cat who cared for him, prodded him. "Come on! These cats couldd be our new friends!" She whispered. AdderPaw shrugged. WhirlPaw sighed and turned to SalmonPaw. He had been made an apprentice around the same time as they had been. "Isn't this great?" She asked him.

Whistleblade flicked her short-haired tail, eyes focused upon her Leader. Only the faintest of blushes was on her face, as she was partially thinking about the Apprentices-to-be. The golden-green of her eyes flicked to her own Apprentice for a moment, then back to Reedstar. New Apprentices. The Clan grows stronger as kittens grow to adults. A faint smile crested her maw as she thought of the growth of her home; her Clan.
