As the three left Dawnwish looked around the clan and then at the freshkill pile. "Maybe I should go out and hunt again?" She asked herself. She didn't want to just stand around. She let out a sigh and stood up, she hated going into the forest.

Brightsky lead the two toms, she kept glancing around and scenting the air. "I doubt anything is out here." She said. "I mean what could be out here?" Brightsky asked as she continued to scent and look. "Well you have to remember Brightsky, the flood may of pushed us and the prey out but it also pushed all the other predators too." Tigerpath stated. "I didn't think of that." Brightsky said now realizing it may actually be even more dangerous now then before.

"And there's always those rogues," Deadeye pointed out as well.

Soul looked down, seeing the trio under the branches of the tree he was standing in. He froze.

Autumnfire went off looking for more Prey.

Brightsky laughed. "Rogues have nothing on us! Most rouges are just kitty pets gone bad, they run on anger and don't really have any fighting technique." Tigerpath shrugged. "I'm not so sure, some rouges are actually pretty tough to beat. Remember last time we encountered a rouge?" He said remembering a time before the flood. "Yeah but that was moons ago." Brightsky added and sighed. She scented the air again she could of sworn she could of smelled something but she wasn't sure since the wind wasn't exactly blowing.

Dawnwish took a deep breath and built up her courage. "One more catch." She said and walked into the forest. She kept low and searched for prey to catch. She really wasn't paying attention to where she was going or how far.

Soul continued to stay still, though Deadeye scented him as well. "You smell that?" asked the warrior.

Autumnfire continued to walk.

Brightsky nodded. "I thought it was just my imagination." She said, her usual tone changing from light-hearten and bright to serious. Tigerpath scented the air. "I can't tell where its coming from, there is no wind so who or whatever it is must be close by." Brightsky closed her eyes and listened, trying to pick up any sound she could.

Dawnwish finally scented something, a brindle rabbit sat close by. Its fur was damp and wet looking and its paws were all muddy. She let out a short breath and crept closer. She checked her movements over and over in her head to make sure she was doing it right, not mistakes could be made. She readied herself and pounced on the rabbit, Dawnwish had to take in a mouthful of fur before she was able to kill it. She quickly spit the fur out. "That wasn't very pleasant." She said to herself and looked down at the rabbit, touching her nose to it and thank both it and Starclan once again. "Who are you?" She heard a voice ask from the shadows.

Soul's claws gripped the bark harder, as if it were going to slip out from under him. "Above us," Deadeye growled, after scenting again harder.

Autumnfire scented the stale scent of a vole and followed it.

Brightsky opened her eyes and looked up at the tree branches searching for anything out of the ordinary, Tigerpath doing the same. "But where?" She asked not being able to tell. "I can't tell." Tigerpath said honestly.


Dawnwish twirled around. "Who is there?" She asked terrified. "Tell me who you are?" The voice said again, only it was from a different direction. "Please don't hurt me! I-I just wanted to catch the rabbit!" She cried out as she started to shake. "Hurt you? When did I mention that?" The voice asked. "I'm Mirror." The voice said as a dark grey tom with varying black and grey parts stepped out of the shadows. "Now what is a cat like you doing so far out, your barely older than a kit." He noted taking in her size. "I-I am a warrior!" She defend a bit insulted. "A warrior? Ah, your a clan cat." He purred. "A small one at that." Dawnwish looked at him, he was small and very slim. "You aren't much bigger yourself." She told him. "True." He agree.

Soul huffed. No doubt he'd be spotted anyways. He began to bound away using the tree branches. He moved as fast as he could.

Brightsky saw the leaves rustle and flashes of white, unsure of what to do she did the first thing she thought of. She leap toward the nearest branch trying to catch who ever it was. "Brightsky!" Tigerpath shouted worriedly. Brightsky just ignored Tigerpath and continued to jump from branch toward the rustling leaves.


"I thought the clan cats would of all moved on." Mirror said as he gave his paw a lick. "There is no place to move to." Dawnwish said with a sigh. Mirror looked at her surprised. "You don't know?" He asked. The cream she-cat looked at the tom. "Know what?" Mirror blinked. "There is a place on the other side of the twoleg dens." He told her. "Its a big and wondrous place!" He said purring at the memory. "Well if its so great, why did you leave there?" Dawnwish asked. The tom sighed. "I had a dream of exploring the lands, of seeing great sites and amazing things and places." Mirror told her. "Wow!" Dawnwish said a bit excited. "That must be amazing! I'd love to explore! Its just I'm always to scared." Dawnwish said her excitement dying down to sadness by the last sentence. "Part of exploring is overcoming your fear." Mirror told her. "Hey how about you take back your rabbit and we'll talk another time." He prompted purring. "I love talking with others." He added. "Okay!" Dawnwish said happily. "How will I find you?" She asked, with a smirk Mirror replied simply. "Look for the shadows." With that he slipped back into the shadows, only hearing a paw step here and there Dawnwish picked up her rabbit and hurried back to the clan.

Soul could hear the cat behind him. His white fur was fluffed out. Finally, he stopped on a thick branch, whipping around with red eyes narrowed and jaws parted in a hiss.
