Tom quickly recoiled as the green lion dragon struck his nose with his flaming paw. The fur along Tom's back stood up distinctively as he got up quickly and withdrew away from him slightly. He peered at him with one eye, his head low.

"Boy, you best be goin' before I get the ol' timer out here. . ."

"What do you mean?" Soul asked after he put his paw back on the ground. He cocked his head to the side. He wondered what the pet meant when he said that. Soul was on feral territory not domestic. He stood. "I don't have to go. I'm on my territory. You are on mine. Why are suddenly looking afraid, pet?" Soul didn't know the lion dragon's name so he called him Pet.

This is my post introducing the characters onto the scene. It's a bit of a page-stretcher, I had fun with it, but it's not entirely necessary to read more than the last few paragraphs. ^^;; My apologies.}

"Hello? Hellloooo? Anybody heeeere?"

Aiden crossed his arms and kicked a stone towards an innocent daffodil crumpled beside the loudmouth Liondragon. Who was she kidding? If anyone was around, the group would have found them already. They were supposed to have hit some houses, some people, anything, about three hours ago. But they hadn't. "Emmie, shut up. You sound deranged."

"No way! Jairo, do I sound deranged?" For the fourth time in the past two hours, Jairo turned to look at her, his expression exasperated. She cocked her head in response to his glance, waiting. She seemed genuinely anxious about this.

"Well, you see-"

"No, you sound drunk."

"And deranged."

"Aiden, Julie, pipe down. Emmie- erm, please. We're lost."

Julie drew out an annoyed growl. "We've been lost in the woods before, Jairo. Happens." She cast her arms out in a way that suggested this was obvious answer, and he was evidently being stupid.

Emmie commented innocently, "Didn't you both always know those woods, though? Just wait til sundown and follow the opposite way to the East, right?" Duh. Aiden had been there twice already. Jairo and Julie defiantly knew a lot about forests, as they both lived in a thick, thriving, deserted woodland, and Julie, sheltered by her new overprotective parents, barely left that ridiculously monstrous house except to explore with Jairo in tow.

"She's right, Julie. We're in uncharted territory. We don't know whether we should go West, East, North, South-"

"How about up?"

Jairo started. "What?"

"Up, you moron. Come on, give me a boast. Emmie, climb up after me, you scream the loudest." Emmie smiled gently at Aiden. "Hey, we're all in this together, right? Let's just... calm down. Stop picking fights."

Julie huffed impatiently. It was obvious she didn't want to be here, but Aiden knew both her parents were out of town, and she couldn't have bared Emmie and Aiden and Jairo, all in her house, all at the same time, for days on end. Julie was very particular about these things.

After a quick lift on Jairo's back, Aiden reached up to grasp the lowest branches and began climbing. He felt his arm scratch on something, and as he shoved a tree branch out of his way, another came back and slapped him in the face. "Spoiled rich kid." Emmie, ignoring his mutterings, quickly proceeded him up the tree. Baring her teeth in another wide, absolutely aggravating grin, she let out her guts once more;

"Hello? HELLOOO? Anybody HEEEERE?!"

"Aiden, this was all your idea! Make her shut up!!"

"You shut up! It's not like I'm in charge of her! Have your babysitter do something!"

"Jairo is not my babysitter!"

Emmie cast a sympathetic look down towards Jairo. He had apparently given up, and answered her look with a single shake of the head. "At least someone might hear us with all this ruckus going on."

Candycorn heard a loud yell as she stood near the middle of her small territory. The blind dragon growled, "Whoes in these woods in my territory?" Candycorn let out a loud roar, telling all tresspassers to stay off her territory. She may be blind, but she wasn't stupid. Candycorn, fur bristling, began to walk towards where she had heard the scream.

Augustus sighed and just let the matter drop. "Fine, fine. Didn't mean to hurt your pride or anything."
In all honesty, he was worried about the older dragon. He was more then fine out here on his own, but what about when he got older? What if an accident occured and prevented him from seeing correctly.
Then, off in the distance, he heard the sound of leaves and branches moving.
He jumped onto all fours, his fur slightly fluffed up in suprise. "Do you hear that?" he asked slowly as he waited to hear where the sound was coming from.

(Sorry for not replying for so long. eAe I was caught up in some other stuff along with school work.
And good luck at your new job! 8> It's totally understandable if you can't reply fast. ;u;)

Emmie nearly fell out of the tree, but managed to hold on by grabbing onto a tree limb between her teeth.

"What was that?" Aiden started to work his way down the tree while Emmie still stared, fixated on a point off in the distance. She thought she might have seen something...

"Doesn't matter, we should just keep moving." Jairo protectively wrapped his tail around Julie as he said it, watching the horizon.

"Jairo, quit it, I can look after myself!" Apparently conscience that Aiden was watching, Julie pushed the tail away and stood off to the side, waiting for the two to come down.

"Moving towards the sound or away?" Emmie asked thoughtfully. Julie rolled her eyes. "Didn't you hear that? It sounded serious."

"Yeah, but alone. A pack of wolves or a group of bears might have tried to act tough by roaring together, right?" Aiden grunted as he reached the ground. "We probably out number whatever it is."

"Then let's do that. Everyone stay close together, okay?"

"Whatever, Jairo."

Emmie leaped from the last branch and followed the group on their way towards the noise. It wasn't long before they seemed to come directly to the place where she had thought she'd seen something.

"This place smells like someone's territory." Jairo would know, but Emmie wouldn't. Although she was also a Liondragon, she had grown up in the the city, not around small towns or forests where LDs would have claim to certain regions.

"Hello? Anyone home?"

"What are you doing in my territory?" She growled at the domestic lion dragons before her. "You should know well that being on a feral dragons territory could mean if I were to attack. Leave my territory and its inhabitents. NOW!" She roared at the pets. She showed herself. Her fur bristled making her look larger than she really was. But it was obvious that Candycorn was blind. Her long fangs shown in the light of the setting sun.

Jairo moved quickly in front of the others, but didn't bare his teeth or ruffle his hackles. He stared into the vague light blue eyes of the female LD, and calmly, but firmly, answered her question;

"We're not here to threaten you or your claims. We're lost."

"And... hungry." Julie defiantly stepped past Jairo's barrier, clasping her hands into fists. "My brother taught me how to fight, just so you know." A long time ago, Jairo recalled. Before he had even met her. Before the orphanage. Before the fire. Jairo knew her prior family members {maybe not her dad, he had left long before} were now deceased, but she didn't hesitate saying her brother's name. Because Julie, being Julie, was strong.

"And tired." Aiden stepped up beside her. Emmie grinned gently towards her special person. "They're not Liondragons, like we are. Aiden and Julie... don't as well without a human place to sleep."

Julie scowled. "Speak for yourself, I camp just fine."

"... I've slept outside a roof before." Jairo didn't want to know. He understood Aiden had more issues than he was aware of, but Emmie could handle him just fine.

"And, we need someone to help us find our way to the village. You're not new here, so I think you can help us. Be our guide, and we can take turns helping you patrol. Lots of new Liondragons are passing through here. We'll help strengthen your territory." Jairo waited anxiously for her reply. Would she attack again?

"Will North bring us near the village?" Jairo asked, casting his eyes towards the sky. The sun was going down. He didn't have much time before they would all be stuck out in the cold. "Do you think you could at least get us started on our way, until we leave your territory?"
