Stormpaw smelled the ground carefully searching for the hidden shrew scent. Walking all around the tree the apprentice couldn't find the scent except for where the shrew had last touched the ground and flew into its nest, "It must be resting."

Sootnose nodded trailing. He looked at the rodent's home. "Good job. Now that you know some more about scenting, let's try to find some prey."

Stormpaw glanced upwards into the tall oak tree, imagining the bird in its nest, hiding from the clan's claws. Shivers shuttered down her spine, forcing a few hairs on her pelt to rise. I never want to climb another tree in my life! Noticing the black warrior had begun to leave the tree in search of other food for Duskclan, the small apprentice left as well and trailed after Sootnose. Words itched to spring from her mouth as the gray she-cat wanted to chat, but she knew better. Hunts were meant to be kept quiet or the tiny forest creatures would hear and scamper off before a single fang could even think about sinking into their soft flesh. Swallowing the urge to converse, the petite molly smelled the air. In luck, she caught the scent of a squirrel; it was fresh. Razor sharp claws flexing into the mossy earth below, Stormpaw thought about the furry brown animal dangling from her jaws.

Graypaw- " I guess. Silly kits. One of them killed a snake, i know they are kits but what a mousebrain." He replied, flicking an ear.


Frostkit- '' medicine cat I guess...'' She mewed staring at the other herbs, the heavy smelling purple flowers, the black little seeds, the silvery cobweb. '' It seems so nice.'' Frostkit added. '' I know already. And im guessing thistlekit and maplekit want to be warriors.''
