sandclaw stopped in his tracks and turned around to face maplepaw. "maybe it was destiny, but you know what? destiny can be wrong sometimes." he spat, curling his lips back into a snarl. "and i don't love her, maplepaw. don't you ever say that again, you hear me?" he scowled, staring her straight in the eye. he was irritated that maplepaw would even suggest that. of course he didn't love hollytail anymore, was she oblivious as to what just happened? there was no possible way in starclan that he could love her, let alone like her. who does maplepaw think she is; coming into our camp and telling us who we do and don't love? i've had enough of it and it's time someone's taught that spoiled brat a lesson.

Maplepaw growled, but kept her temper. "Don't give me that Fox-dung." She meowed. "You do like her. Your just mad at her."

sandclaw simply shook his head, denying it. "no i do not like her, for the last time. you can't control my feelings, as much as you want to." he snapped, implying that she was controlling. sandclaw looked down at his daughter, wondering how she had become this way... and when? she used to be cute and innocent but now she's... different. ever since she ran away... and silverkit and her fought. but that nothing, why did she attack the leader and turn cruel? sandclaw thought with pity.

Maplepaw grumbled. "I'm not controling your feelings." She growled. "I now you like her. Say sorry, and then see how that goes." She spat. She got up and growled. "I'm going hunting with Thornpaw." She stalked off to her brother.

sandclaw followed after maplepaw, with sympathy. "wait maplepaw, can i please talk to you real quick?" he asked gently. he felt like she wanted them to get back together, but sandclaw honestly didn't like hollytail, and he didn't want maplepaw to be hurt. aww that's probably why she's like this... we broke up... it's all my fault...

"i know you're sad about hollytail and i not being together, maplepaw. there's nothing i can do about it though, she hates me and is in love with rowanflame... i'm sorry i let you down but there's no hope. it'll be okay, though, maplepaw..." he meowed, trying to convince himself more than her. maybe i do have feelings for her...?
