Before Moon began her story she looked at Coraline thoughtfully "Triant is a good wolf for you Coraline, a protector. He hides what he feels below his coat Cora, and even though he will not admit it. Triant loves you with all his heart, and will do anything to keep you and your pups safe." She wrapped her tail around herself and laid down to settle in for the gruesome story she was about to tell, the fae was almost ten years old but her senses were still sharp enough to hunt and fight. Her son Rapid would soon take her place when she retired but until then, she was at peace with herself.

Coraline let out a small sigh. "No pups. Not yet, I've known Triant and heard him laugh at the thought of ever having pups... Not sure it will change any time soon." She said, laying down as well, across from the female, and waiting for the story to begin. She smiled a bit and said, "Took me all my life to catch him though... Known him since we were pups." She looked at the female, wondering what was going to happen throughout the story. "And... " Coraline paused, debating. This female was family right? "Do you use tribal names here? Featherclaw and all?" She asked. She wondered if this was where she had gotten her tribal name from or if it had come from her dads side of the family.

Moon's eyes glittered at the mention of Triant not wanting pups, they seemed to hold a secret only Moon knew but she didn't share it. Moon chuckled at Cora's next comment 'I'm sure, Triant was never one to love." Moon's ears perked toward Coraline when she asked about tribal names. The she-wolf nodded "My true name is Moon Shine but to you travellers I go by Moon, it's easier for others when they are not accoustomed to these things. "Your mother's true name was Aspenleaf, because of her birth under a tree den.

Coraline was surprised. She nodded, "My mother named me Venomtail... She said it was because even as a pup I would lash my tail and spit words of venom at others..." She smiled a bit. "My sisters name where Starpelt and Violetclaw... Starpelt because of her pure white and untainted pelt and the fact she seemed to have feather like patterns so mother used to say she could fly up to the stars whenever needed... Violetclaw was named that because of the fact her fur held an almost purple color and that she used to rip flowers apart with her claws whenever she saw them..." She explained.

Moon chuckled delicatley, "Your mother always spoke of naming her pups that, I never thought she actually would after.... the war" Moon swallowed then looked at Coraline, 'I want you to know Coraline that everything that is said here, will never leave my den. This is your story to tell now not mine and I hope you are wise about who you tell even if it's Triant."

Coraline nodded. "Understood." She wished to know more about her mother. Her mother was someone Coraline had never been cruel to, never disobeyed, and always wanted to be around. Coraline had known from a young age that her mother would die one day but never knew it would be by her sisters hand... Which is what made her so furious as to kill her own sister instead of allowing Jasef to pass judgment, which, in that case, he hadn't seemed to mind so much.

Moon sighed in a way that showed she had kept this to herself for many years and didn't want to relive it "The night was stormy, lightning flashed and thunder rumbled through the clouds, many of the wolves were in camp nestled in their dens with their families. I had just returned with my mate-your grandfather- from a nightly patrol. We took some kill with us toward the den. None of us were prepared for what happned next. Lightning lit up the sky, and bolted down to one of the many pines that stood near the camp, all at once wolves leap through the fray toward us, their claws and teeth out. They attacked our camp and destroyed it to oblivion, we fought as best we could killing theirs as they killed our, your gradfather was killed trying to protect me and after that I never took another mate. Your mother was the reason for this war, Charon your father had met her at the border when they had patrolled, she was agressive towards him but only for awhile until it was seen that he had planned these meeting with her, she was in his spell and in about a week they were in love. Aspen should have known the dangers but love clouded her judgement. Charon had her under a spell that she would never wake up from, I was blind to what Aspen was doing until one of the spies had caught her meeting him and reported it to me. I had banned her from patrolling and never to leave camp without someone with her, it was my own mistake when a brute that was deeply in love with Aspen left camp with her only to be given the cold shoulder when Charon came. Charon already had a mate at te time and when he disspeared with Aspen, she grew worried and searched for him. She had blamed his dissappearance on us and that's when I knew everything. Your mother was gone, never to return. Until today I would never have thought I had granchildren, Aspen after being with Charon changed her views and the way she handled things. After that war I sent wolves to find her, but they all came back with nothing. Charon never even came up here when Aspen was killed to tell me anything, I had to here it from you years later...... it kills me to think of your siblings killed because of the war. I never even knew they were hers....until that night.. when Ginger Heart told me."

Coraline sighed and said, "What do you mean my siblings were killed because of a war? They were killed because of me and a mate..." She sighed. "My mother died from Violetclaws hand... No one knows why... I always knew Violetclaw was a bit mental... I just never really thought she would kill our mother... Our father was banished because of his Casanova ways... He came back a while back to see me and try to find Aspen... I think he cared for her... The way he used to look at her when I was a pup... There was no doubt there was love there... But he got bored... Got tired of there being no males in the litter... He was banished. He came back... I'm sure the reason he did not come up to tell you of Aspens death because of the fact he would have been killed on sight." Coraline locked eyes with the fea. "If he came up here now to tell you fo Aspens death... Would you not strike him down where he stands for stealing your daughter?" She asked. it was a reasonable question. "He might have feared for his life... While my father was not there... He also is not evil... He did care... But he was not raised to stick with one mate... I once heard Aspen and Charon arguing about how Charon wanted a harem and Aspen would not allow it... Of course, my mother won. But I do not think Charon was raised to keep only one mate..." She said. She ahd seen that look in many male wolves and knew how top find the ones who wanted only one mate. At a time, at the least.

Moon looked at Coraline sadly "Venomtail, Violet and Star were not your only siblings, there were four others that your mother gave up before she left. Her best friend Hawk feather took them, of course a fae has every right to say who the father is, she soon told us the pups weren't hers after they were killed. It was horrible to think that she left them just for Charon." She listened to Cora's question and spoke "I most certainly would have killed him, he cost my mate his life, Aspen's her own and Aspen's own pups before she had you." She flicked her ears when Coraline said Charon loved Apen "I never doubted that Cora, but getting bored is not real love, you I can tell know so as you questioned triant when he returned, Triant was raised to believe more then one mate was subtansial wasn't he? But, he stuck with you because in his own way he loves you, he can't see any other fae the way he sees you. That is whjy Charon was different, he wanted a harem to have males that he could train and teach them the same way... like your brother... Grim."

Coraline was shocked to find she had more siblings. "Are you sure they are all dead?" She asked, half hoping to find some other siblings that are still alive to help her fight Grim and keep them safe from him at the same time. She sighed as she listened to Moon. "You are right." Then, at the mention of Grim, a low snarl emitted from her lips. It was unstoppable. "He is not from my mothers side... the fur and features are to different... My mother was also not large enough to help create such a large beast." She quickly said, hoping Moon wasn't saying Aspen was the mother. "Grim is no brother to me... By blood, yes, by family ties, possibly, by true sibling care? Not a chance. He is a beast." She said, her hate for her brother leaking into her voice. "And Triant also knows if I catch him with another fea I kill the fea, then screw up the pack a bit before I leave the whole pack." She said, it was her plan if she ever caught Triant with another female. She sighed and said, "Its just hard to hate someone who is blood... Full blood... Charon never did anything truly horrible to me other then help produce that beast that wants me dead..."
