Quietpaw didnt see Seasong anywhere...maybe she would be proud of him if he went ad gathered herbs...he knew the forest pretty well and he wouldn't be gone long. Quietpaw padded out of camp, the rain making his fur damp. "I wont be long...not at all..." Quietpaw padded into the woods, looking for herbs he recognized. They would need catmint maybe? As he was thinking about herbs the medicine cats needed, Quietpaw tripped on a stick and fell into a puddle. He yowled and scrambled up. Quietpaw heard something walking around, and he perked his ears. "Hello? Whos there?"

Softpaw paced around, listening for Tinystar. His bad eyesight didnt help, as he was almost blind. But it was his dream to become a warrior, maybe even leader one day! Softpaw let out a breath and looked around again. "Tinystar? Is Tinystar in camp?"

The tom-kit cried out in surprise as an unusual splash hit him but when he heard a cat's voice he shrank back, scared. He hadn't learned how to talk yet and was worried it might be his mind simply playing tricks on him. He mewled loudly and tried to get their attention, hoping against hope it was truly a cat.

"Morning, sleepyhead!" Frostbite exclaims as he sees Leafcloud stretching before she walks outside. He sees her expression. "Yeah, I know. Fallenrains is every kit's best friend." he chuckles to himself.

"Anyway, Leafcloud, I was hoping you'd come with me to the food pile today? You can bring Sandkit!" Frostbite says, a bit unconfidentally.

Quietpaw let out a gasp as he saw a small kit. He realized he had splashed the poor thing. "Hello, little one...I didnt mean to splash you...do you have a name? Come on, we need to get you out of the rain, I have a safe place, not far from here. You will be warm and dry. My name's Quietpaw, im a medicine cat apprentice, I'll look after you." Quietpaw took a step towards the kit and gave him a comforting lick, then picked him up, and began to walk back to camp.

The tom-kit let out several mewls of protest before quieting from the cold beginning to nip at his nose and paw pads, forcing him to keep his mouth shut. He sniffled, this cat might be able to help him. Maybe even feed him because he was starving. The kit waited to arrive wherever the tom apprentice may take him, hopeful.

The she-cat turned to face Frostbite, purring with amusement on his statement about Fallenrains. "Of course I'd go to the prey pile with you Frostbite! I'm sure Sandkit would appreciate it as well. She couldn't help but smile as she went to wake Sandkit, she hoped this was more than just a friendly invite! Since it was raining, Leafcloud motioned to Frostbite to take a detour through a drier area.

Ripplefield stood beside his mate in the den, twitching is whispers ever so often due to stray raindrops. Seasong seemed to be busy and her apprentice outside of camp, so Wildbreeze's diagnosis could wait.

so uh, I have a few questions? since there are so many abandoned kits lately, maybe we could do some sort of... origin for them? like, there was a clan that had to exile(ish) them to the nearby clan's territory hoping they would take the kits in because there was some catastrophe going on in THEIR clan? (or something like that idk)

Nightorchid

Nightorchid gazed around, silent as she flicked her tail and ears every few seconds. The rain was incredibly calming for the she-cat, making her quite happy when surrounded by it. It made her seem odd, simply sitting in the middle of camp and becoming drenched in the rain. Perhaps even eery if you'd rather go that far. Things hadn't been very exciting, per usual, she was still isolating herself from others, which, did make sense if you were her. Why get attached to someone who finds you weird? It would simply be a heartbreak when they leave your side, something she couldn't go through again.

Even as a young warrior, she wasn't very active, going on patrols when she needed to, hunting solo whenever she could, the bare minimum. She didn't dislike her clan, not one bit, she was just nervous to get attached to someone who in the ultimate end, would leave her, and that thought alone haunted her like a skulk of hungry foxes.

Quietpaw winced at the poor kit's cries. Eventually, the kit was quiet. Quietpaw slipped into camp, making sure no one saw him. He crept into the medicine den, making sure his mentor wasnt there. He set the kit down. "Now, stay here, and ill get you some food..." Quietpaw grabbed a mouse from the freshkill pile, making eye contact with his mentor. He tried to stay calm as he padded back into the den. "okay...uhmmm" Quietpaw wondered if he should chew the food up for the small kit, seeing as he was only 1 or 2 moons old. "Do you want me to chew this up for you?" he whispered.

Softpaw saw Nightorchid, or at least he thought he did...he could make out a shape in the rain. Softpaw ran over to the she cat. "Hey! You shouldnt be in the rain, its cold out here, you know..."

The tom-kit cried, he didn't understand what the tom was presenting him with and he knew it wasn't milk so he cried out again, hoping to get the tom to understand what he was frustrated about.

Nightorchid

Nightorchid blinked slowly as an apprentice approached her. Softpaw. "Hello. Well, the rain is quite enjoyable for me. But I suppose it is getting awfully rough..." She mewed, noticing the velocity of the rain hitting her pelt began to sting. "Can I go with you to the den? I'm sure it'll be warmer in the apprentice den anyways."

FallenRains

Blue eyes shade into storms and shadows; the color of his grief. "I um, was sent on a mission, almost a full turn of the seasons ago. Which was why I'd left the clan for a while - by our previous leader." Is said slowly, "and during the seasons I rescued Honeys mama from a set of fox and her dad from a human trap. They were younger than I by a few moons. I taught them how to not be human- er kittypets. They lived in a humans little forest, in the middle of their many nests called a city." He is quiet, taking the opportunity to bring the rabbit back to his kit, the medicine cat, his friend and honey. "After my mission was complete Honey was born. And I returned here." At the words for, or is it against(?) his character the silver cat sort of flinches: Of course he's a kits best friend! He grew up with Noone.

Swallowing, he slices open the kill so that the kits can eat their full. "Good morning Sandkit, this is Honeykit, and here is your breakfast." Knowing there wouldn't be enough for him, the two kits and the two she-cats he smiles, "Perhaps take the meal into the den to eat. I need to do patrol."

Glancing at Cloudfur he quietly takes a thrush and brings it to them. "Breakfast?" Is offered, after shaking the rain from his pelt. The lengthy warrior smiles again, whiskers twitching.

She stares at the rabbit, it's bigger than her! Timid, she smiles at Sandkit. "Hello?"
