Biscuit
Biscuit gaped at the cruel way the rogue had abused the clan cat- verbally and physically. Suddenly strength returning to his paws, his limbs filled with fury, he leaped at her once more. "You killed her?!" He hissed through gritted teeth, clawing furiously at her ears, trying to get a grip on her back with his back legs. He wasn't sure if he was ready to become a monster like her-to kill another cat? Then he looked at Creampuff, his mate. He realized, in order to protect her- and the kits- the cat would have to die. Biscuit was knocked down as the vicious cat struck him, but he was not fazed and leaped up, back on his paws in an instant. He felt stronger knowing why he was fighting. He ducked beneath the taller cat, rolling over, and raking hind claws across her belly, slashing deep cuts. He felt a sudden burst of rage as his eyes fell upon Dappleseed's mangled body, and he rolled under the rogue, gripping her shoulders tightly with his back legs, and unsheathing his claws until they hurt, he excoriated her neck, until he no longer saw fur, but only raw skin, blood glistening as it dripped from her neck, and the forest floor absorbed it. Can I do this? Can I really kill a cat? Is this how a warrior feels? But he only glanced over at Creampuff, and then Dappleseed, Nelly and Coal- huddled together- and he knew what he had to do. He rammed her into the ground, administering the final, killing blow to her neck. When he heard a sickening crack, and saw her body lay limp, he gazed a weak smile over to Creampuff, Coal and Nelly, and then promptly fainted once more. Biscuit jumped, startled by sharp nip to his tail. The Clan cat... The rogue... kits... kits?...kits?! "Have you named them yet? Are you okay? Five of them.."
Foxtail
His eyes met hers, and as he looked at her, he knew he couldn't stay mad. "No...I forgive, you." He purred, barely audible but he was sure she had heard. "I'm sure they don't all hate you." he mewed, trying to lift her spirits. Curling his tail around her in turn, he replied. "I'll make sure we can still spend time together! And if I get an apprentice, we could train together, and I'll make sure you're in all of my patrols! But... you're right." he mews, pressing against her, "I'm going to feel cold without you in that den.." With a jolt, he woke up. He sensed many new cats outside, and upon leaving the den, discovered several rogues just walking around as though they had lived there all there lives! Snarling at the nearest one, he growled "Why have you intruded our camp, SCORCH." He spat the name as though it was dirty on his tongue, after all, this was the cat that almost stole his Applepaw! He smiled at his crush, she looked so pretty when she was angry... Foxpaw sprang to attention as Thistlestar called the meeting, and he sat under the gathering cliff, his light amber gaze fixed on his leader. "Hello little Rosekit! I am Foxpaw, but soon I'll be... Fox-something!" He chuckled, and pushed back through the cats to sit by Applepaw, who was looking down. "I'm finally going to be a warrior! Why are you so sad?" He stared at her for a second, taking in her beautiful eyes, and her soft gaze. "Yes, I love you, and you alone Applepaw." He hurriedly dashed forward as his name was called, eager to be a warrior. Foxtail! I'm finally a warrior!, he thought in his head, bounding back toward Applepaw. "You're next! It won't be long I'm sure!" He mewed, playfully twitching his tail over her ear. He backed up, startled by her sudden change in mood. Unsure how to respond, he smiled uneasily, gently setting his tail by hers. "I hope she is okay..." he said quietly.
HollyPelt
"Ohh..." she stiffened at his name, thinking back to the time when they were still friends. "Yes, Emberstripe isn't afraid to put that elder in his place if necessary... I believe that was the best choice." She smiled at him. "Of course!" she purred, eager to move, her tail twitching with excitement, although she had only been there a few hours. She nosed the kits forward, not noticing Rosekit trailing behind. "Well then, here's our nest! Quailkit and Fluffkit, you can sleep on this side, and Cloudkit and Rose- Rosekit?" She just now noticed her kit's disappearance, and abandoned the other three to find her. "There you are!" She pulled the three kits out of the elder's den, and grabbed the other two from the nursery. "Come on, there's a gathering!" she called to her kits, doing a quick head count as they sat down in a large group with Stormwind. "That, you'll find out if you all quiet down." She purred to Fluffkit. "We've been fine, I suppose. Quailkit and Rosekit were constantly wandering off." She purred in amusement. "You would probably know better than any other cat, being the deputy Stormwind." She gazed forward, and could feel Stormwind's pride for his apprentice. She gripped Quailkit firmly by the scruff of his neck, since he was trying to sneak off, and repeatedly nudged Rosekit, who seemed to be staring at a warrior for some reason.
FernWind
She looked at Hollypelt, a regular visitor. It seemed like she was on the verge of death every second of every day. "What'd she do this time?" Fernwind asked, a small smirk forming on her lips, as she waited to hear the next of Hollypelt's many endeavors. "What'd you do to her this t-?" but she was abruptly cut off from her joke as Hollypelt collapsed. "Right!" she mews hurriedly. Berrypaw, now sitting upright pads over to her. Listening to her, she whispers back, "Are you sure?" Upon receiving an answer, she went back to business. "There will be time for ceremonies later, right now HollyPelt is having her kits!" (Fade to black) She sat back with her new apprentice, slightly worn out. She followed Berrypaw outside. "What is going on?" she asked, worried when she saw Slyshade's killer being treated so kindly by the clan. Sniffing in annoyance at the rude way Tornthroat had treated her on his way out of the den. She slipped outside, curious as to what the gathering was for.
ThistleStar
"Let all cats old enough to catch their own prey come beneath high rock for a clan meeting!" He yowled, and watched his clan gather. "Foxpaw, Mottlepaw, Marina. Please step forward." He continued, "Foxpaw, your name from this day forward you will be Foxtail. Starclan honor your bravery and courage you have shown as an apprentice." He paused, and continued, beckoning Mottlepaw forward. "Mottlepaw, you shall be known as Mottlesky. Your intelligence and wit will be forever honored by Starclan." Once more he paused, and continued. "Marina, is new to our clan. She has shown enough interest to join, and we hope she stays for seasons to come. Today she will be assigned a mentor, and a new name. Marina, from this day forth you will be known as Aloepaw. Since we are short on warriors, Hawkstrike, will you take on mentoring duties for this new cat? I feel safe in assuming you will be a good mentor, as you were for Mottlepaw." He waited for the warrior's response. "Alright, I call this meeting to a close." He scaled off the rock, and landed neatly beside Thistlepatch. "Hello Thistlepatch, did you want something?" He purred kindly.
BerryPaw
Her eyes fluttered open, and she saw the eldest medicine cat, SlyShade dead in the middle of the camp. "No...No!" Padding up to her soon to be mentor, she whispered, "I..I need to be, I mean I want to be a medicine cat." Nodding her head, she replied, "Yes, yes I am." (Fade to black) "Okay, now that that's over, shall we go figure out the commotion outside?" Without waiting for an answer, she pushed through the small nursery entrance. She shoved her way back inside, surprised at how crowded it had become. "Littlepaw! Are you doing alright?" She asked, blushing as she looked into his deep, green eyes. She could tell it was disturbing him, so she tried to help him get his mind off of her death. "I'm a medicine cat now!" She announced, purring. She could tell what he was thinking through his eyes. "Don't worry! I want to do this!" I think... "I'll be a warrior, just in a different way! I'll fight my enemies like greencough with herbs instead of claws! And we'll be closer!" She mewed her words with enthusiasm although, she wasn't quite as excited. She wished she was as strong as Applepaw. She was jealous of her sister's ability to be a warrior. But she was careful not to allow any of these feelings show on the outside. "I agree... Except, they might not." Her brow furrowed in concentration. "Maybe if we made them agree to something?" She smiled, "Look, a meeting. Race ya!" And the two ran outside.
C o a l
He spat angrily at her request, but decided he might as well after she said "Please". He blundered off, unsure of where to find "borage". When he found what he hoped to be Borage, he picked some in his mouth, immediately spitting it back to the ground. "Yuck! If I don't like this, I doubt Creampuff will even touch it!" But he dutifully collected some, and brought it back to the cluster of cats. He set it down, hissing as his paw made contact with the other cat. "You never mentioned your name..." he challenged. He was once again taken back at her hostility, so he didn't say a word after, and just kept his head down, and lay down next to Nelly. At least I'll keep her safe! "Nelly, if she comes near us, I'll protect you! Chee- I mean Storm taught me a little before he...he left." His thoughts swirled around again as he remembered that moment again, for about the 50th time-the day his father left him. He turned his head, watching the horrific turn of events as Dappleseed's life slipped from her. He gently nipped the kittypet's tail, and seeing as it did not work, nipped harder, secretly enjoying the look of shock on his face. "Who are you?" He hissed at the newcomer, instinctively hiding the kits with his tail, stepping beside Nelly.
Quailkit
He was intrigued, and wanted to meet his clan, just like his other sister, Rosekit. As he stumbled about on his short kit legs, he ran face first into Tornthroat. "W-who are you?" he asked, listening carefully, eager to learn every aspect of the clan. "My name is Quailkit! Is it true... that you killed our Medicine cat?" The young kit's eyes filled with wonder and curiousity, not rage and accusing as so many of his clanmates were. "Aaa! You don't have to grip me so firmly, I'm not going anywhere!" He growled under his breath as he was taken away from the elder's den. He stalked away to talk to one of the tall warriors. He rushed back over to his mother as the meeting began. "I wanna stand up there someday!" He mewed excitedly, blushing as several cats glared at him for disrupting the silence. He grumpily swung from his mother's jaws, sighing as he was placed back in his least favorite place- the nursery bed.
Fluffkit
Now that she could see, the world was a wonderful, yet at the same time, terrifying place. She already began to worry what dangers would await her outside the den and as she did so, pressed herself closer to her Father for comfort and safety. Suddenly the warmth was gone! Her mom was saying something, and they all began to walk. She stumbled, and fell. "Help! My legs are broken! I can't walk ever again!" As she was nudged forward, she did discover she still could walk, but she was still worried. Where is Rosekit? What is Quailkit up to? How long will Hollypelt be gone? "M-moss ball?" She shuddered. "Do you know how absolutely horrible moss is?! I could think of almost a million diseases that playing with that scrap!" She batted feebly at the ball, a look of disdain on her face. She began to have fun with it, little after little, and started pouncing about, accidentally tumbling into the elder's den where Quailkit already was. "What's a...Clanmeeting?" She asked her father, her yellow eyes round with curiosity. She yawned, and trudged back to the nursery.
(By the way, just preparing everyone, we will be doing a timeskip soon, for Applepaw, and for these kits. c:)
