Poppypaw's ears perked up and she looked relieved, hearing that she had done the maneuver correctly. "Alright, s-show me then." The grey apprentice meowed, coming out of her shell a bit now that she had gotten some encouragement. Perhaps she could do well on this one too.

"Okay." IceRift started as he flickered his ears forward slightly put pointing them towards the side a bit. "So, when your stood up, like we are now and you move one paw up you still stay upright because you've got one frontal paw on the ground. If you bring that one up, your balance Stays a little, and you just go back to your original position. Like this." With that being said, he raised one paw whilst flickering his tail to gesture towards it. IceRift brought the other paw up and like he had explained, though he had just then came back to his original position. "If you stretch your paws forward and outstretch your back legs you will collapse on the ground. Like this." IceRift raised one paw and and then the other, pushing them forward, whilst he was doing so, he kicked out on his back legs. Causing him to fall on the ground. "Do you understand? If so please try it." He questioned, before rolling over on to his back, and then his stomach again. Raising himself up, he had now been ready to see what his apprentice had taken on board.

Poppypaw was confused on what this move could possibly do in a battle, but she obeyed. The she-cat raised her one paw, then the other, then stretched her paws forward and her legs back, which felt a bit awkward to her. Poppypaw made an oops sound as she fell, and laid on the ground, sprawled, for a breif moment. "Like that?"

He asked, a larger smile forming on his mouth as the sight of his apprentice sprawled on the ground seemed slightly amusing.

Poppypaw rolled over before standing up in front of her mentor, and she shook her now sandy fur. "How would that move help me? Y-you know. In battle." She was still confused what the move's purpose was.

"Ah, in battle. If an opponent is coming straight to you, and there is no time to the simple duck. You'd be able to perform this to get down quicker. When you land on your stomach, it makes you a target with your back exposed, meaning that they can hold you down by your back. So after you hit the ground, if you roll over on to your back and to your stomach again, your able to get up easier. " IceRift explained, twitching his tail tip. From watching his apprentice, she had seemed a little hesitant at some spots, yet hinting a little at being eager to do a move.

Stormpaw flicked an ear in confusion, being in the same clan didn't automatically make them friends, "We never talk..." the small apprentice trailed off at the end of her reply. She wasn't trying to be rude that's just how it was.

Poppypaw nodded, understanding her mentors logic for the most part. "O-okay, that makes sense." She tried to think about when the next battle would be, but her mind shrunk away from the scary thought.

Graypaw- Yawning. The tabby padded over to the preypile and ate a mouse content, watching his sister and birchpaw, graypaw settled onto his belly, the sun warming his pelt.
