Volantstar looked at Echoflight, four cats was already a large group, but she knew of her kits power, his strength, she debated even taking Reveriedaze but since she was a queen she knew it was best to let her kit stay here. "Yes, Echoflight, you can come too." She waited until Breezekit's mouth was full of moss then looked at her group. "I'll be honest, I don't know how long we'll be gone, we just need to find something out, maybe even a cure. We'll be gone a while..." Volantstar mewed.

Crowflight stepped forward and lifted his chin. "Who's all in charge of the camp while you're gone? Other than Bristlepelt, of course." He meows in his low set time, yellow eyes blazing and asking for the answer.

Ravenfrost listened quietly. It was a reasonable question, considering there need to be a stand-in leader, who was Bristlepelt, and probably a stand-in deputy temporarily.

Volantstar was tempted to put Warrex as a step-in Deputy, but knew that was the wrong idea. "Warrex will be working with the Medicine Cat" Volantstar mewed to the cats. "Crowflight, I'm putting you as the stand-in Deputy for now." She mewed to him, twitching an ear at him. "Is that alright with you, Crowflight?"

[ℱ ᴀ ɪ ʀ ʏ Ƭ ᴀ ɪ ℒ]

Thunderstorm nodded. "You should make him permanent deputy and take the position from Bristlepelt, you know he is doing a terrible job."

Echoflight nodded sternly ready to go.

Crowflight lifted his ears in surprise but nodded. "I'll do anything for my clan. And don't speak illy off Bristlepelt Thunderstorm. It's disrespectful to not only him, your superior, but our leader who choose him and Starclan who accepted him." The black tom pointed out coolly.

[fletch]

"Leave him alone, Thunderstorm." Sparrowcatcher snapped irritably. He didn't like the idea of a stand-in deputy. It made this whole trip sound...permanent. Sparrowcatcher had nothing against Crowflight, but...Volantstar and Bristlepelt were the leaders. Sparrowcatcher didn't like to think of it as anything else. But this had to be done, he supposed, even if it meant putting themselves in danger. He just hoped they were doing the right thing.
"Wh-what about me?" Sparrowcatcher heard a voice pipe up. It was Stripedpaw. The little medicine cat scrambled earnestly over to the group and glanced at the leader. "What do I do if someone else gets...uh...hurt?"

Ravenfrost thought a moment before raising his tail to speak. "Talk to Warrex. He knows more about the disease...bit if nothing can be done, kill the cat. " he suggests.

[ℱ ᴀ ɪ ʀ ʏ Ƭ ᴀ ɪ ℒ]

Thunderstorm snorted. "Bristlepelt was never accepted by Starclan, Volantstar made a bad choice and starclan know it. Sparrowcatcher why don't you shutup and go moon over him? Your going where he is, the place of no stars seen as though your going against starclan too."

[fletch]

Sparrowcatcher flattened his ears, shocked by Thunderstorm's words. "I can't believe this!" He exclaimed. "We haven't hurt anyone because of this. Can that really be so wrong?" Then, a little more irritably, he added: "I don't need to hear this from you. You've been nothing but a thorn in everyone's side since Bristlepelt became deputy. We've got a real problem, and you're just making it difficult for everyone!"
Stripedpaw looked sheepishly at Ravenfrost, then back at the two quarrelling toms. "I'll-I'll-I'll go back to my den." She mumbled and, before Sparrowcatcher could say anything or apologize, she whirled around and pelted back to the medicine den.
Sparrowcatcher narrowed his green eyes at Thunderstorm, but said nothing else. Instead, he turned and padded after Volantstar. He was seething with enough anger and there was no point in making it any worse than it was already.

[Kydashing]

Oakfang starred at Thunderstorm. His gaze was heavy, his golden eyes darkening, before nudging at Volantstar. "Do not let his anger get the best of you all. It will all be fine, but nothing will get done chit chating, that is." He said with a deep, almost un-characteristically low voice. He was serious now, he needed to do what he could, his clan, and his niece's life, could be in danger.

Foxpaw followed Strippedpaw, her fluffing tail in the air. "Daw, nothing much, just cats turning into zombies and everyone freaking out." She said sarcastically, before nodding a more serious demaner. "But seriously, I couldn't tell you everything, but something is the matter." Her voice was quite, but she had to get away from everything for a moment. Soon she would need to go back and "watch" Thunderstorm, which she was sure he wouldn't like.
