Sootclaw scented fox and blood upon following the footprints. The young tom ran forward and launched himself at it's head.

The fox slumped to the ground. The tom held on until he could no longer feel the blood pulsing out of its neck. Finally, he let it drop. He raised his head, his neck and chest now covered in the fox's blood.
