Scrambling out of the tunnel, RadiumStar heard the yowl of a challenge. She rushed over, feeling blood trickle down her fire head. Her eye was shredded like BrightHeart's from Thunderclan, and back had a long scar from her right non shredded eye to her back like Snowtuft. She looked like a scarred scourge. She dashed in, and say up in the only tree not knocked over to watch and judge, wondering if there would be a new deputy by the next sunrise.

[gallifrey falls.]

Rainflower

Her head whipped around to Amurwing, and then relaxed as she realized what had happened. She went over to him, and laid a tail on his shoulder. "Amurwing, it's alright. I'm afraid I couldn't save him. He walks with StarClan now. Do you need anything else for your wounds?"
Turning as she heard the approach of another cat, Rainflower made a sound of dismay. "Radiumstar, your eye! Do you want any herbs?"

Suddenly, the battle broke out, And Brackenwing was the first to defend himself. Every blow Quailheart shot was a quick miss. While Quailheart leaped atop of his back, Brackenwing twisted around to rake Quailheart's ear off, and threw the light weight tom off of him. Quailheart reared, raking his claws down he tom's flank, but was quickly stopped as Brackenwing sent a sharp blow to his chest, and Quailheart stood their, panting in pain. Blood dripped from his forehead, while Brackenwing's flank had a few minor scratches. Quailheart suddenly leaped to Brackenwing's side, grabbing ahold of his flank with sharp claws. But, Brackenwing was too fast. He sent a sharp, painful blow to his eye and Quailheart backed away slowly, His crooked jaw growled through it.

Rainflower

Rainflower winced with every blow that was made. She was no stranger to blood and death, but battles were never a joyous celebration for her. She silently began to count the injuries both toms sustained and what herbs she would need to aid both of them. Brakenwing wasn't nearly stupid enough to kill Quailheart, and neither was his brother, but while Brakenwing was calm in the direst of situations, Quailheart could become blinded by rage and desperation.

She watches the battle, knowing whoever wind will remain the rank and gain more respect, and whoever loses must be an apprentice for moons.

Rainflower

Approaching Radiumstar, Rainflower murmurers, "Do you want any herbs for your wounds? I have something that could soothe your injured eye."

"That's it!" Quailheart spat, ramming into his brother full force, and he went for the killing blow. But, Yet again, Quailheart missed Brackenwing, who was incredibly fast. He Quickly aimed a blow to Quailheart's jaw, which was his weak spot. Quailheart yowled in sheer shock and pain, and backed down. But, surprisingly, his fur bristled, which meant he would o back in for another attack.

Dagger growled, hearing yowls of cats. "I think we should stay for a while. Maybe if we sense another storm, we will leave." He meowed. "I even saw an abandoned human, small boat that we could fit in to find a new place to stay.

Eyes wide in shock, Rainflower couldn't believe what Quailheart had tried to do. "He can't kill..doesn't he know that would get him banished," she whispered, half out loud and half to herself. He was blind by rage at this point though, that she could see. Already it seemed he was causing himself to lose the challenge.

Jade dipped her head in agreement. "That sounds good. Hurricanes can't be very common, and perhaps staying on the boat wouldn't be too bad."

Brackenwing sat down, curling his tail over his paws calmly. With a flick of an ear, he meowed; "You don't understand what you are doing, Brother.." He meowed. But, he was interrupted. Quailheart Launched himself at Brackenwing for another death blow, but Brackenwingg ducked his head, and Quailheart yowled as he missed Brackenwing, and rammed Head-first into a large, fallen beech tree, and laid there in pain.
