"you sure about that?" Dusk said with a grin "I'm not as slow as I look" He replied and already he darted off, leaving the she-cat behind him. "Catch me if you can!" He yelled playfully. He loved running, made him feel free and the wind in his fur as he raced over the forest floor teased him to go faster, but for now he took a slower pace in order that Russetstar could catch up with him since he had a false start.

"Oh I'll get you." She purred to the tom before dashing off behind him. She sson caught up, but believed that he was slowing down on purpose. "You have to catch me now." She purred as she caught up and started to pass Dusk. The wind moving through her fur as she dodged the tres made her feel like an apprentice again. Care free and young.

Dusk chuckled at Russetstar's comment and rushed after her, his long dark-brown dancing behind him. He soon caught up with the she-cat, running slightly in front. The trees in his way made him having to jump out of the way, Russetstar did the same. "See ya at the creek" he laughed and rushed off.

"See ya there." She called after him, delighted that he didn't know the short cut. She turned and raced off in a different direction where the undergroth wasn't very thick, making it easier to run.

Dusk grinned widely, he was winning this race, at least so he thought. He arrived at the creek, and trotted dilightly towards the water. But after a second he noticed Russetstar had stood next to him the whole time. "Wait what?" he muttered. "Did you have a shortcut or something? That's cheating!" He said and sat down angrily as a little kit. "Meanie"

"Well I have been in this forest longer than you have." She purred. "Of course I know the ins and outs of the place." She teased when he looked like an angry kit. "Ahh don't be like that. I may send you the nursery." She purred, preparing to duck incase he wanted to cuff her ear of something.

The loss had made Dusk rather grumpy, he didn't like losing and he sat there his ears low not looking Russetstar in the eye. "PFFFF" he sighed. His tail swaying from side-to-side of annoyance. "You didn't make it a fair race, that's not cool dude. " He grumped, he had never been good at dealing with losing, especially such an unfair loss.

"Aww. Don't be like that." She meowed, feeling kind of bad. "How about another race, no cheating, and if you win, I'll show you the route I took here?" She offered. "Back to your tree?"

"Nah I'm good" Dusk said, cleaning his paws. "I'm gonna go to my tree, take a little nap or somethin if you don't mind. " He raised to his paws and padded in the direction of where his place was. "See ya later" He said with a grin, he walked off calmly his tail raised in the air.
