Torka had soon become bored with the adults chat, and decided to pounce on Toko's tail - aiming to bite the furry snake and then walk around with it like a trophy. During play, he often forgot his place and the fact that Toko was more than twice his size with a status on his side.

"O-Oh!" Haru gasped with a start, he had totally forgotten about treating the two wounded wolves. "I'm sorry, I'm sorry..." Haru stuttered as he fumbled around for his herbs. "I hope you aren't hurting too much..." Haru fretted, his heart pounding quickly as he rushed to treat the two wolves. Chewing up some daisy and mint, he smeared it over Rain and August's wounds, then stuffed them with cobwebs. "Is anything else wrong?" he asked the two of them.

Myst gazed up at the dark sky, he shuddered a little, not from the cold, but from the ominous darkness. The earth seemed to be quite lonely without the sun, almost as if it had been sapped of happiness. Myst licked the fish blood from his jaws and paws, tasting the metallic blood of the fish again. Myst shook his head a little and lay his head on his paws. He closed his eyes, hoping to get some rest.

{Hey, did you mean Riptide or a different wolf when you said Rain? O.O}

Riptide waited patiently for the wolf to finish treating the other wolves wounds.

((Rain. x3))

Haru looked behind him and saw another wolf who needed treatment, he nearly passed out. "I'm sorry..." he fretted hastily, then turned to Riptide, "Hi... Hi... Um..." Haru didn't bother to finish his sentence, he scurried over to Riptide and smeared the ointment he had prepared over the wolf's wounds, then shoved cobweb into them. He set a wild cherry in front of the wolf, whom he didn't know the name of. "Th-This will ease the pain if you eat it..." he mumbled, then hurried over to where Rain and August were, "Does anything else hurt?" he questioned hesitantly.

River went up to Riptide and sat down so she would look less intimidating the the new wolf who seemed a bit shiddish. She tried not to look the new wolf in the eyes as she spoke to him, because doing so he might take it as a challenge and that was the last thing River wanted right now. "You're lucky still be alive. You said a wolf attacked you. Was it far from here? Are you sure their was only one? Oh' where are my manners I'm River and don't worry I won't bite." She said as she thumped her tail against the ground hoping that what ever attacked Riptide didn't follow him to where the pack was.

[[ god, what is with me? It's like I type a whole post out, but then forget to post it! @___@

@black-wolf-jet: yes indeedy!

@Plepore: Sorry, not accepted. You're just not quite literate enough for this roleplay. ]]

Ayet nodded to the newcomer, and narrowed his eyes. "I can promise no wolf of ours did that to you." He paused, and then called after the male a warning. "Be careful. Dangerous things lurk in the forests; now that there is no light to stop them." He tried to keep quiet for the most part, as many wolves did not approve of what they were doing. They simply thought this darkness was a solar eclipse, or something natural. But Ayet knew better. Turning to little Torka, he smiled, and gave the pup's ear an affectionate lick. "You should get to sleep soon. We'll be leaving, once everyone is well-rested."

Now turning to the female, River, as she came up to him, he gave her muzzle a lick as well, and wagged his tail. "Nevermind, it is good that you found us. There is a clearing just ahead, where we are making camp for a while. I'm going to get some rest right now, but soon enough we'll be leaving. Once everyone is ready." The male now walked back to the clearing, where he lay down in a cool patch of grass. How he longed for the heat... Slowly, he drifted into a deep sleep.

**********

When Ayet opened his eyes, he was looking down thousands of feet. Below him, he could see the dark tree tops, and foggy whiteness, were clouds hung in the skies. He looked around him, puzzled and confused. Why was he so high up? Where was he? Suddenly, he felt warmth on his back, and could see out of the corner of his eye, a faint glow. Turning behind him, he saw a deep crater. He now understood. Beneath his feet was a rocky terrain; he was on a mountain. But, that was not all. In front of him, the Lord Sun rose in the sky, slightly dimmer that it used to be. Then, a deep, heavenly voice sounded, and he knew it was His voice.

"Ayet, you have endured many hard ships in order to find me. You have done well to lead your pack safely to this clearing. But I fear, your troubles have only yet to begin. I can not say much to you, for he is listening. But know I have brought you here on purpose, to aid you in your search. It is here that you will find me." There was a pause, and Ayet opened his mouth to speak, but the Lord continued.

"Shh. Do not speak. He is here. I must leave you." In his ear, there was a deafening growl. It sounded like three wolves, growling together. And then, with a start, he awoke.

Anwell flickered his eyes open, hearing a shuffle near the Alpha. Sitting up, without a long yawn, he slowly slumped over to Ayet's patch of grass.

"Ayet...Are you troubled?" He asked, looking around the forest scenery with wary, cautious eyes, "Being the attentive wolf that I am, I heard you snuffle a little. Sir, did you have a nightmare?" He asked, out of slight curiousity and the urge to help his leader. If it was a nightmare, then Anwell could possibly analyse the details of Ayet's dream. He was good at things like that. Anwell was taught as a young pup by his pack's shaman how to analyse imagined things, and his experience had grown even further as he grew.

Ayet hesitated, not exactly sure what this was. It was almost a dream. It had left him more determined than ever to find the Sun. But, knowing Anwell was perhaps smarter than him in more than one way, he decided to confide in him. "I was... on a mountain. And the Lord Sun was in the sky, warming my pelt. I forgot how cold it is now... He said our troubles had yet to begin, and that he had brought me to the mountain for a reason. That is where we need to go. But... It is so high up. And I do not recognize it. I could scarcely see the ground from there." He paused, remembering the end of his dream. The fur on his neck stood on end now. "He also said that he couldn't speak much, because 'he is listening'. I do not know what that meant. Perhaps... perhaps he meant Death is listening. Yes, that could be it." Ayet said, his fur still prickling.

Anwell listened with silent empathy, and with an almost blank expression. He shuddered a little afterwards, because he knew exactly what this meant.
Taking a deep breath, Anwell began to analyse out loud.
"In dream sequences, the mountain usually appears in order to symbolise an obstacle that needs to be over-come. By daring to climb the mountain, we challenge our own inadequacies and free ourselves from fear. To fall down the mountain symbolises carlessness. But to reach the top of a mountain...Is to achieve one's goal. You, Ayet, achieved that goal in your dream. That only means that we will achieve that goal, as you did. But indeed, we will encounter problems. A journey comes with price, Ayet. And sometimes, sacrafice."

Anwell whisked the ground around using his front paws as he spoke; etching small swirls and pretty patterns as he analysed.

He began to speak again.
"These sacrafices are sometimes small, and sometimes a life could be lost. Only time will tell whether it will go one way or the other."
"As for Death...He is very well listening right now. He can hear these words, and from the air around us it seems we are almost surrounded by pityless spirits. It is tense. Can you feel it, Ayet?" He asked, not making eye contact with his Alpha. It almost seemed like a rhetorical question, but the air was thickening a little.

Riptide swallowed the cherry gratefully. Then he turned to Rain. "Yeah, it was pretty far from here. I'm gonna 'sume there was only one too. By the way, I'm Riptide." He smiled and happily wagged his tail, making it thump against the floor. He was starting to like Rain (Nonono, not that kind of love like, other kind of like X3) a bit. Hmmm, maybe being in a pack isn't so bad.
