Frondpaw slunk out of camp, his expression surly as usual. "What in Riverclan's name is go-" What started as a loud complaint was cut off completely as the apprentice's green gaze fell upon orangepelt's body. Holy mouse feces! He cursed in his head. "What the...?" The tom would have continued, but he was fighting the urge to hurl. Despite his harsh personality and loud voice, Frondpaw was horribly squeamish.

Pebblefang looked around worridly. "Frondpaw!" she said, almost hysterically. "Do you want to go hunting?" But it was probably too late anyways to prevent him from seeing Orangepelt, their former clanmate. No, he was still their clanmate, watching them from Starclan.

Resting a comforting tail over Frondpaw' s young shoulders, Stonefur tore her stare away from Orangepelt and to the snappish cat. "Do you need to take some breath outside?" The tabby offered, motioning to reed tunnel. "You look sick, Frondpaw."


That and she didn't trust Pebblefang.

Aspenfur was sickened by this. A killer killing their own clanmates? He shivered. Looking at the gathered cats, then to the body, he realized he had to vote. Someone good at hunting, someone evil.
He mumbled, unsure of his answer. "Pebblefang, was it you?"

Pebblefang turned to look at Aspenfur. She felt a sense of betrayal so deep, it couldn't be put into words. And yet in her mind, she had wondered if it was he who was the killer. "How dare you accuse me?" she asked. But her voice was wooden, tired. She wanted there to be an easy explenation. She wanted it to have been an intruder, but the evidence was in front of her; one of their own had killed Orangepelt.

The thought of voting someone to be the murder weighed heavily on Spiderpaw 'Starclan save us..' Looking to his mentor he tried to focus on the fact that Orangepelt still needed a burial "Should we get some Rosemary?"

Shuffling her paws, Stonefur stood up to usher Frondpaw out of camp. "Come on, Frondpaw...please." the tabby murmured. "You needed some air, didn't you?" Stonefur sighed, flicking her tail. She didn't want to be in camp when things turned ugly. Nonetheless, she just had to chime in. "To be fair, I agree with Aspenfur..."

"I'm sorry-" He stuttered, seeing the hurt in the other cats eyes. His tail dropped furthur, but he tried to stand strong. "I'm sorry. You're the best hunter in the clan," he could feel the gazes of the other cats burning into his pelt. He sat down, stumbling from his inbalance. "This looks like more then a murder- as if Orangepelt were hunted." It hurt him to say that.
He turned to his apprentice. "Yes, we should ready the burial." He still looked completely saddened as he moved to get the herbs.
