Viperpaw winced, but was glad that FrostWing had gotten Duskpaw away for now. At Shadowpaw's prompting she shakes her head before picking up the pace and thankfully she managed to race, or rather hobbled hurriedly, after her mentor. She was relieved to at least not have to worry about Duskpaw for now. Until they got into camp that is. Golden eyes gleaming she was glad to be under the shade of the trees and was heading towards the camp. She was fairing pretty well , managing to keep FrostWing in her sights.

Demon yowled with pain as he crashed to the ground. His neck was bleeding badly, but he was glad to see that Viperpaw and the other one were indeed gone. They were safe then. He wondered just why this tom didn't give up. Didn't he value his life? 'And why don't I just get back up and claw this cross eyed badger to shreds?!' he silently berated himself and tried to shake off the pain as best as he could. The worry that the tom would go after his kit and her friend, as well as harm the clan that he'd needed to take care of her for so long caused him to get back to his paws and shake himself once more before jumping back into the fray.

Otterkit placed his tail tip on his new friend's shoulder before stepping into view. "Shiverwhisker right here!" He mewed his dark blue eyes bright with relief. "Please help us. This is Stormkit. Her claws are hurting and she needs help." He mewed his eyes gleaming. "Can you please help her?"

DuskBlaze chuckled at the mix of answers and for a moment she pondered as she tried to think of such a story to tell. And then she smiled warmly and looked down at the three kits she was now taking care of. "Well then the story of 'The Serpent and The Lion Warrior' sounds just about right." Her eyes gleamed with pleasure as it was one of her favorite stories to tell after all. "And to think it has just as much romance, action and is surely awesome in my opinion," She mewed with a soft purr.

Shadowpaw pounds behind the three cats, glancing behind every few seconds. His heart was racing with mixed emotions; excitement, fury, and worry. "Are you okay, Viperpaw?" he asks when the cats reach a distance from the battle. What a sight this would be when they reached camp! And I haven't seen Songpaw in a while...never mind that.

The golden eyed apprentice swallowed a bit as the stinging pain in her shoulders made itself known. Gritting her teeth against the pain, not wanting to show weakness, though she was certainly tired, she managed a slight grin. "I'm fine..." she mewed but staggered a bit and shook herself before racing back to catch up with them. "Or at least I will be," she amended her last statement with a grimace. "Thank you, by the way."

Shadowpaw eyes her shoulder with concern, and tastes the air. The others' scents were still fresh, but a distance away."Anytime, Viperpaw," he replies to the she-cat. "Perhaps we can slow the pace a little. I dont think that we should open Viperpaw's wound any more than it is. Can we, Frostwing?" Shadowpaw asks, turning his attention from Viperpaw to her mentor.

Frostwing turned back to look at Viperpaw and Shadowpaw, Duskpaw still hanging from her jaws. At his question, she thought other things for a few moments. She would have loved to quicken the pace, but if her apprentice was injured, then she didn't want to make things harder on her. They'd have to go slower for Viperpaw's sake. Noticing this, she nodded in response to Shadowpaw's question, unable to say anything since she was holding Duskpaw.

Viperpaw wanted to protest this however. Afterall Duskpaw's wounds were surely worse than hers, but she found she was too tired to. Besides what argument cold she have won in this state? Instead she just continued on as best as she could, until finally, finally, they were nearing the camp entrance. Viperpaw would've sang if she could, but right then she stopped and sat down. "Take Duskpaw to the medicine cat...I'll be there in...a moment," Viperpaw shuddered and shook herself trying not to fall anywhere near sleep from how tired she was. Dealing with Grinner was an emotional, physical, and mental drain and she could see how falling unconscious would've been so nice. Unfortunately for her, that wasn't an option. Her claws buried themselves into the dirt as she turned around to look at her shoulder and winced at what she saw. Her wounds had certainly been reopen, but worse yet the wound looked worse than it felt. Viperpaw gingerly set to the task of washing it clean, but only proceed in cursing up a storm from the pain she felt. 'This'll be one of the ugliest scars I bet,' she thought gloomily and then shook herself for even thinking such a thought. Once the wound was at least clena, though it stung worse than ever, she got back to her paws and followed the other two once more.

Shadowpaw's ears flickered at the quiet patter of paws approaching. It was only Viperpaw, looking worse than ever. Well, this training session was ruined. he thought glumly. Viperpaw and Duskpaw would surely never look at that clearing the same way again. Thankfully, this was only a makeshift camp, and they would be moving in the next few moons or so.

Songpaw slowly lifted her head from Spiritblaze's shoulder,"Spiritblaze?" She said quitely,"Where are we? Why can't I see anything?" Tears started to run down her face, for as she knew it, she was fully blind.

Mistypaw ran to catch up with Spiritblaze and Songpaw. She jumped on a fallen tree and found the tom and she-cat. She jumped off and ran right to them.

(( I think.... I might rejoin this as a new character you guys.... I miss it, and sometimes I find myself with a little bit of free time before retiring to bed. Please disregard Howl, Gwyn, and Sorrelkit as I have been unable to post for them. They've been rather... stagnant and weren't doing much in the first place anyway. Is that alright Cali? ))
