Shadow That Dances at Night
Shadow did not expect her to dodge the attack, resulting in him landing unsteadily a fox length away. His steps faltered, regaining balance on the slippery rocks under-paw. When he steadied himself, he faced her head on, circling around as she had been doing previously. Shadow kept his back towards the cliff side, wanting to possibly use it to his advantage in case she leaped at him. He kept his body pressed to the ground, ready to leap upwards and send her flying over the edge. Shadow was so confident in his plan, in fact, that a grin fluttered onto his features. A devious grin, one that spoke of success and intimidation. "Scared? I would be too," he hissed, tail lashing out behind him steadily. Intimidation was a major factor in battling. If you intimidated the opponent enough, their whole mindset could get thrown off. What good was strategy when your mind and body were not acting as one?

Flower That Blooms in Shade
This was where Ice gave her own expertise. Flower knew little to nothing about Tempest considering she was a young apprentice when he was exiled. She had first met Tide around that time. She pushed the thought out of her head. Stay focused. She smiled up at Ice, giving her an encouraging nod and admitting,"You are really good at these types of things." The apprentice decided to let Ice work out all the details; she had an inner voice telling her she was just coming up with negative possibilities. The three of them needed to have a positive outlook on the situation if they wanted to get anything done. "Do you have a plan in mind? Or maybe even a particular cat in mind that would be good for this?" Being the boatswain, Ice probably knew most of the tribe more than many realized. Flower had no idea how important that job was before she had become friends with Ice.

Stream Where Small Fish Swim
"We need to get Flame back to camp. Flower, Minnow, Crow -- head back to camp ahead of us. Warn Rain that we will be coming, and after that, get some rest and eat up. You have all done wonderfully, but we should be able to handle it from here," she praised the apprentices, looking around to the large patrol for their own approval to her words. With the assistance of Wave, Fire, Jackal, and Seagull, the patrol should not have too much trouble hauling Flame back to camp. Too many paws would get in their way. Suddenly, a thought struck her in the back of her mind. "We need to tell Feather." Guilt flooded over her for not realizing how he would react earlier. Stream had no idea how Feather would react to the news, but she had an aching feeling that it was going to be a long night for the tribe. Tempest would know what to do, what to say -- how to ease the pain -- but he was gone. Shadow could care less about whether Flame lived or died.
Stream positioned herself along Flame's flank, ready to take up the weight of her midsection when she was lifted. She could only hope that Feather's mental wounds would heal with time; Flame was being so positive about the situation.

Eye of the Eerie Tempest
Tempest was actually a bit . . . what was it . . . excited to be staying with the kits. He had not smelled the scent of the tribe in moons, and the kits reminded him so much of home in both postive and negative ways. On one end of the spectrum, the kits were the symbolism of Shadow's infiltration of the tribe, while on the other hand, it is ironic because he is assisting the tribe in growing and propsering. The leader waited for Star to return, wondering how Song would react to staying a night. The she-cat had been excited to go home, which was the complete opposite of Leaf at the moment. The tom kit had originally wanted to stay with his mother, but now he was snoozing the night away with not a care in the world. He rose to his paws when Star returned, thanking her with an appreciative dip of his head. Tempest was careful not to disturb Leaf, but he attempted to gently transfer him onto the leaves by using the soft of his scruff. It would be much more comfortable sleeping on the sleek leaves rather than the grainy sand. "I appreciate all your help, Star," he commented gratefully, peering down at Leaf with a hidden emotion disguised in the depths of his golden gaze.
