Shadow That Dances at Night
Shadow did not expect her to dodge the attack, resulting in him landing unsteadily a fox length away. His steps faltered, regaining balance on the slippery rocks under-paw. When he steadied himself, he faced her head on, circling around as she had been doing previously. Shadow kept his back towards the cliff side, wanting to possibly use it to his advantage in case she leaped at him. He kept his body pressed to the ground, ready to leap upwards and send her flying over the edge. Shadow was so confident in his plan, in fact, that a grin fluttered onto his features. A devious grin, one that spoke of success and intimidation. "Scared? I would be too," he hissed, tail lashing out behind him steadily. Intimidation was a major factor in battling. If you intimidated the opponent enough, their whole mindset could get thrown off. What good was strategy when your mind and body were not acting as one?

Eye of the Eerie Tempest
Tempest watched over Leaf for the time being. He laid down beside the small kit, wrapping himself awkwardly around him for warmth. He did not have the first idea what went into caring for a young kit, and this made him miss Spirit more than usual. She had not spoken with him recently, and it made him wonder if she was possibly becoming interested in someone else. It would be my luck, I suppose. Tempest pushed away the thoughts, deciding to focus on the matters at paw. "Leaf? It is time you went home to your mother."

Flower That Blooms in Shade
Flower shuffled her paws bashfully at her mentor's kind words, looking towards the ground to avoid the blush that fluttered onto her features. She felt proud of herself, but she had to admit she was exhausted. Her pride could only last for so long when she was longing for her nest back at camp. I can't wait to tell Tide all about -- her thoughts faltered, and a somber mood came over her once more. "Thank you, Fire, I didn't want to let you down," she admitted quietly, blinking gratefully for her praise nonetheless. She nodded in agreement to Minnow, casting a glance at Flame for emphasis. Their efforts would not go unrewarded; Flame had to live for them.
Flower heeded Stream's words immediately. The apprentice gave Flame a swift lick upon the forehead for comfort before turning towards the direction of camp. "Stay safe, Flame. I'll see you soon," she spoke her farewell to Flame, nodding her head respectively to the sailors of the patrol. Her paws instinctively carried her forward, even though they dragged on the ground like lead weights. The typically clean and shiny light tabby pelt was covered in sand and mud. Tiny scrapes on her paw pads from the slippery stone surfaces made her tread lightly, sensitive to the changing terrain. It felt like moons before she walked into the camp, heading straight for the first familiar face she could identify. She expected Crow to be the first to inform Rain if she was not aware already of Flame's approach, considering she wanted to be the first to do anything.
Her eyes locked on the familiar form of Tide, and she immediately changed direction. Her limbs were screaming for rest, while her stomach was arguing for food, and finally, her eyes yearned for sleep. The most important factor, however, was Flower's need for comfort. She had witnessed Flame become paralyzed by a boulder, yet Flower had assisted in saving her. She felt the familiar urge of success in the back of her mind, but the build up of pain, hunger, and fatigue lessened the effect. Flower ignored any protests or strange glances, which she expected, and settled down beside him. Her whole form wavered for a moment, almost toppling over after all she had been through. She merely wanted to be by him for a moment before she retreated back to the apprentice den to rest up beside Minnow.

Flower That Blooms in Shade
This was where Ice gave her own expertise. Flower knew little to nothing about Tempest considering she was a young apprentice when he was exiled. She had first met Tide around that time. She pushed the thought out of her head. Stay focused. She smiled up at Ice, giving her an encouraging nod and admitting,"You are really good at these types of things." The apprentice decided to let Ice work out all the details; she had an inner voice telling her she was just coming up with negative possibilities. The three of them needed to have a positive outlook on the situation if they wanted to get anything done. "Do you have a plan in mind? Or maybe even a particular cat in mind that would be good for this?" Being the boatswain, Ice probably knew most of the tribe more than many realized. Flower had no idea how important that job was before she had become friends with Ice.

Stream Where Small Fish Swim
"We need to get Flame back to camp. Flower, Minnow, Crow -- head back to camp ahead of us. Warn Rain that we will be coming, and after that, get some rest and eat up. You have all done wonderfully, but we should be able to handle it from here," she praised the apprentices, looking around to the large patrol for their own approval to her words. With the assistance of Wave, Fire, Jackal, and Seagull, the patrol should not have too much trouble hauling Flame back to camp. Too many paws would get in their way. Suddenly, a thought struck her in the back of her mind. "We need to tell Feather." Guilt flooded over her for not realizing how he would react earlier. Stream had no idea how Feather would react to the news, but she had an aching feeling that it was going to be a long night for the tribe. Tempest would know what to do, what to say -- how to ease the pain -- but he was gone. Shadow could care less about whether Flame lived or died.
Stream positioned herself along Flame's flank, ready to take up the weight of her midsection when she was lifted. She could only hope that Feather's mental wounds would heal with time; Flame was being so positive about the situation.
