Stoatfur looked up in alarm when he heard Greenheart's call. "Just press cobwebs to her nose and eyes." He mewed to Sparrowpaw before hurrying over to Greenheart and Brambleheart. "What happened?" He mewed, sniffing at Brambleheart. He recoiled slightly when he scented the same smell the other sick cats had.

"Are your paws or chest hurting?"

Brambleheart nodded painfully, and looked up at Stoatfur. He was oddly... blurry. And slightly red. With a start, Brambleheart realised there was blood in her eyes. "Wha..." She couldn't finish the question, and closed her eyes, trying to imagine that this wasn't happening. Brambleheart lowered her head dejectedly. "Oh Greenheart, what about our kits..?" She managed to mumble, forgetting that no one but her mate knew she was expecting. I wonder if Stoarfur heard that.. oh, well, do I even care?

"Dumb Tom..." She huffed once more before turning her head to look outside her den. Fallenstar layed her cheek on her paw and clawed at the ground, a new feeling working its way into her stomach. It seemed like a mix of loneliness, rage, and ultimately, depression. The leader hated it. The feeling made her stomach do flips, and she held back the urge to puke.

Coconutpaw sighed and curled into a ball, falling asleep. She was in camp, in the apprentices den. She shrugged and trotted back to the medicine den. "Yes, Coconutpaw? Do you need anything?" It was Sheep... She looked around worriedly, her fears were true! She shook her head, but froze when she saw Sparrowpaw. "What?! I'm trying to get him to eat!" He snapped. She looked beside him. Stoatfur...? Stoatfur looked up, his sad expression turning to rage when he saw her. "GET OUT!" He roared. Coconutpaw ran. He was grieving for Gingerpelt. The cat she had let die. She ran out of camp, feeling accusing stares burn through her pelt. She kept running, not knowing where she was going. She gasped as she tripped on a tree root. She was expecting to fall to the ground, but instead she just kept falling. She looked below her, there was a mouth. Gingerpelt snapped her jaws shut, grabbing Coconutpaw. She felt excruciating pain, then she gasped awake, looking around the den wildly. She looked over at Tawnyshadow, then down at her paws. She covered her eyes and began to sob quietly.

She sat down to the hidding Place to the clearning, looking at the camp, she tryied to find someone which was bored or alone. Sighing she turned her gaze toward the camp entrance, knowing that apprentice could not go alone to the forest, but now she did found anything better to do. When nobady wasen't looking she disappeared to the entrance and run into the forest.

The orange tabby tomkit poked his muzzle through a bush, scenting the air with half-parted jaws. His light green eyes flashed as a breeze went past, carrying the scent of cats. Friendly? Unfriendly..? Uncertainty glanced across his face. He poked his front paws from the bush, then his shoulders followed with the rest of his lithe body. Sagekit inwardly winced as he felt branches scrap against the skinless markings from his injury. His ears pricked at the call of a dove and his belly rumbled in response. Sagekit had managed to catch a few half-dead rodents before, but mostly relied on silver twoleg-traps for food. If he was lucky, sometimes they would have meat in them. If not, he would have to live with the crumbs off sticky wrappers. Flicking his tail, Sagekit steeled himself to try for the chirping bird. He lowered himself to the ground, his tail whisking behind him in a dangerous manner.

"okay." the tom meowed before the medicine cat dashed outside and across to brambleheart and greenheart. he grabbed some cobwebs from the large stock of herbs and picked his way through the bodies of the sick cats towards his sister. wiping her eyes and nose with the web, he whispered softly. "please tansy, stay strong. for me."

the she cat felt her brother wipe her nose and eyes with the cobwebs. her vision was hazy as she looked at him. she opened her mouth to speak but was silenced by a sharp pain in her chest. with a soft whine she closed her eyes again.

"alright, great! let's go!" the warrior smiled before bounding away towards the border. she slowed as she neared it, raising her head and parting her jaws to scent the air. the scent of cats was weakening, and it worried her. cats were so preoccupied with the sickness that they weren't marking the farthest corners of the territory. "we should set a scent marker too." she turned to ashblaze, concern in her thyme green eyes. "cloudclan scent is worryingly stale."

Owlcall led the group back towards Stormclan territory, excitement building in his chest as he began to recognize some of the landmarks that he recognized, knowing that they would be home soon. He looked back to check on the group, asking Briar if she wanted him to carry the cure for a little while.

Stoatfur shot Greenheart and Brambleheart an alarmed glance. "Why didn't you come to me when you figured out you were having kits? I might've been able to tell that you had the rat plague too." The medicine cat mewed, annoyed with the she-cat. He shook his head before quickly gathering the herbs that he had been using to help all of the sick cats.

He set them all in front of Brambleheart, chewing one of them into a pulp and rubbing it gently into Brambleheart's pads, before telling her to eat the other ones.

His eyes on the mouse, Sagekit bunches his haunches, then with a mighty leap ascended upwards. He plummeted tpwards the rodent, his claws outstretched. His paws landed just a whisker to the left, landing a blow to its side but not pinning it. The mouse ran for cover, and with a hiss the kit gave chase. Managing to corner it, Sagekit hisses again, then slams a front pad onto the mouse, dazing it. While it was dizzy, he snatched it in his jaws and bit down. The kit purred at the warm prey-scent, his belly rumbling. So intent on finally a chance to eat, he didn't notice the voices nearby. "Thank Starclan." he mewed to himself, then began to eat.
