Thrushleap didn't respond. She'd already answered that question for herself several times, so just sighed.

Leopardstripe nodded. "Would you like me to bury him now?" Leopardstripe pointed to Mousekit with his tail. "It's okay if you don't want to yet."

Rabbitfur dipped his head curtly to the remaining cats and stepped out of the way of Stripestar as he hissed and passed him. He cleared his throat and returned to where he was sitting, curling his tail around his paws. He closed his eyes for a moment, tired from today's events. Even if he ran into One-eye now, Cloudgaze was too deep in grief to approach with questions regarding a kit. The queen needed her space. He needed to be patient and allow her to mourn her loss. But sitting around and not doing anything was making him feel restless.

Ice nursed, but it was bittersweet. Not the food, the food tasted fine, but it wasn't from Sorrel, the true food-giver. She finished nursing and waddled to Sorrel again, trying to nurse.

Cloudgaze touched Mousekit with her nose and gave a soft sigh before murmuing, "I suppose now is as good a time as any." She licked Dustkit on the top of his head, not thinking about it much when he said her name and assuming he was just looking for attention.
