Foxpaw flattened her ears, ashamed of herself for upsetting him. Was that all she did now? She used to always make cats smile. Always make them laugh, make them happy. But now, all she did was upset cats. Make them sad, angry, or hostile."Maybe she's just having a hard time deciding what to do. When you truly love someone, it's hard to let go. It's hard to move on and find someone else. If you love someone then fall for someone else, choose the second cat. Because if you really loved the first cat, you wouldn't have fallen for the second one. I just hope you were that second cat. Flamepaw, you can never assume things. If you want to know how she's feeling, ask her. Tell her how your feeling. How she's making you feeling. What you think." Foxpaw said, watching him worriedly. She pressed her nose to his shoulder in a comforting manner.

Flamepaw sniffed sadly, licking down a tuft of fur on his chest; as he listened to Foxpaw's comforting mewls. He flinched when she suddenly lifted her nose to meet his shoulder, but he immediately curled into her comforting touch. Flamepaw was happy to have friends like Foxpaw; since he never knew his mother, and he knew he needed to learn how to love. Flamepaw always wondered why his mother had abandoned him on that stormy day, but he guessed it just must've been his fate; to end up in Thornclan and become a strong warrior. Flamepaw realized he had been staring at his paws, and he raised his head to meet Foxpaw's gaze. "T-Thanks.. but if she's doubting us being mates, then she isn't worth it anyway." Flamepaw shrugged, grooming a paw and running it over his ears. "What do you think about all the new loners?" Flamepaw meowed suddenly, obviously wanting to change the topic.

When he tried to change the subject, she smiled understandingly. "Well, im still a little wary but I think as long as their loyal, it's just more amazing friends I get to make. I love making new friends and meeting new cats so this is just amazing opportunities for me. It kinda all started with Tigerpaw huh? After her arrival, lots of loners started coming." she said with a small giggle.

Flamepaw let out a small mrrow of laughter at Foxpaw's comment about Tigerpaw. "She sure is a feisty one." Flamepaw shook his head, a small smile on his face. "She'll be a really good warrior one day. She's loyal, and determined. That's for sure." Flamepaw nodded to himself, wondering how the rest of his clan was doing back at camp. He hadn't even talked to the new cat Echo yet, but he felt a strange need to be there with the tom, and to protect him. Flamepaw wondered if he was getting along with his new clan-mates. Why do I care? He's just a weird loner!

Foxpaw smiled and nodded, laughing as well. "I believe feisty is a bit of an understatement." she purred. Tigerpaw seemed nice but always a little on edge when there was a tom talking to her.

"Oh, yes. I think crazy would be a little better." Flamepaw laughed, but there was a hint of anxiousness in his meow. He didn't want to offend anyone, but he didn't know how else to appeal to other cats, besides making jokes. "What do you think about that weird silver loner? I think his name was Echo." Flamepaw meowed in almost a desperate tone, wanting reassurance that he wasn't the only one who had a weird feeling about the tom. When he had talked to the loner under the highrock at camp; it had felt like he'd known the cat all his life, but it doesn't make any sense. Flamepaw had never seen that cat in his life, and he didn't understand why he had such a strong feeling for him.

Foxpaw rolled her eyes and chuckled. She raised an eyebrow and smiled when Flamepaw asked about Echo. "I think he's a very sweet cat and him and Tigerpaw get along very well. They'd be cute together. Why?" she asked curiously.

"Hey you guys. What are you two talking about?" Rabbitpaw meowed as he padded up to Foxpaw and Flamepaw. He had left the other male apprentice to spend his time talking with his other good friend which left Rabbitpaw alone. Being the social type, he liked to chat with others.

Flamepaw flinched as Foxpaw mentioned Tigerpaw and Echo being together. Didn't she know Echo would become the next medicine cat apprentice? Wait.. how do I even know that? Flamepaw blinked to himself, before opening his mouth to reply. "O-Oh.. yeah, I guess. I just meant.. what do you think about him?" Flamepaw meowed in a low tone, scuffing his paws against the soft earth beneath him. He was snapped out of his thoughts when their clan-mate Rabbitpaw padded towards them, and Flamepaw gave a soft smile; happy that they could have another quick change of subject. "Hey, Rabbitpaw! Just talking about Tigerpaw." Flamepaw laughed softly, as he thought about the she-cat back at camp.

"Alright. I uh, also heard you mentioning stuff about Echo as well right?" He asked once more. When he spoke about Echo, the males tone got all of a sudden nervous and more quicker. Rabbitpaw hadn't really spoken to Echo much but he started to have a thing for him. The male cat really reminded him of a cat he knew when he was younger he had a crush on. Probably his first crush before he had a secret thing for a clan warrior but lost it.
