D'amour

The mare stopped softly, turnign her body softly. Her long gazelle like horns glistened in the light that managed to shine through the leaves of the tree, her dewdrop green eyes watching the stallion with curiousity. He had an ebony coat, dark like the night. Yet he had ivory splotches like stars in the sky, even a dark crescent shaped one. His kind looking face was splattered with these "stars", illuminating his light eyes quite nicely. His spiked horns stood out easily from his dark mane, being ivory like the stars, yet splotches with plack. Like an opposite night. The last strands of his mane were of ivory, and his tail flowed forom gentle eggsheel white, to a dark black, much like a red pear does as it flows from red to green. His voice was deep yet kind, and this stallion seemed trustable.
"Hello." the mare said. My name is Les Histoires D'une Lettre D'amour Jusqu'à Froissé. But you can call me D'amour.

Winter bowed, as he raised his head his mane flowed over his neck and face like water. "Its a pleasure to make your acquaintance D'amour. My name is Winter's Rush, but I just go by Winter." She was something of another world to him, but of all her beauty it was her eyes that held him transfixed. Emerald green of the lushest plants, that sparkles like morning dew. "I and my friend are new around here, I was hoping you new the area and could help us find the local herd." He couldn't hear Seal any more and this made him a little nervous. He broke his gaze at D'amour and looked around the bushes. "Seal would you kindly come over here and meet this lovely mare." He could sense Seal's eyes on them, locked like a hawk watching a mouse before the kill. Winter hoped that for the love of everything that Seal wasn't going to burst from the bushes and knock this mare over in his burst of playful joy. What happened next was exactly what Winter feared.

Seal had seen his friend step away suddenly and followed. He wanted to make a game of this. Sneaking around the clearing he positioned himself for the attack. What he wasn't planning was what he was about to see, D'amour. She was something else. He had seen several mares in his day but this one was really something. He couldn't quite put it to words. Winter was the poetic one. He would have called her a desert flower or something. He wanted to impress her, but he was a muddy mess. Shaking he attempted to rid his body of mud. It didn't seem to do much good. Winter calling for him made him jump, he did the only thing he could think of:Making an entrance. The crashing boom that followed was indeed an entrance but not the one he was hoping for.His hopes were to dash through the willow branches creating an entrance effect like someone walking out on a stage through a certain. He had placed himself slightly up hill from the two of them with a leap he came thundering down though willow branches. They quickly became tangled around his mane and legs. For a moment he hung trapped in the tree suspended above them. However quickly the branches broke and he feel feet from where they stood. A pile of leafs, mud and Seal who wished he was invisible.

D'amour

D'amour giggled softly at Seal's little "entrance".
"Are you alright?' she asked. She knew how it felt to accidentally humiliate herself. "Do you need any help getting up?" she asked this time, her voice smooth and soft, the slightest hint of an accent.

He couldn't help but chuckle a bit at her reaction. She really was very sweet. "I don't think you need too much practice. I quite enjoy your company," He stated in a matter of fact way. He nuzzled her shoulder and smiled at her once more before looking around them. The swamp was quiet and peaceful. This was definitely one of the better perks of not belonging to a herd. Though he did ever so briefly find himself wondering about Kyla. The striking mare beside his made sure he didn't spend too much time thinking of her though. He looked back to her once more and said softly, "Such a wonderful evening don't you think? "

He chuckled at her childish reaction, and her
cheeks turned even more red.

"She controlled her giggling and looked around.
"It really is.."
Fireflies buzzed around as the breeze softly blew
he long wavy mane.
"Do you ever think of Kyla?"
She asked looking at him.
"Obviously she meant something to you."
She tryed to be careful about what she said,
She kind of wanted to know if he...was..
Looking for anyone.
"I don't know how long it has been since you have
seen her, but something tells me she wants to see
you."
She looked at the water again, seeing how it flowed
and sparkled in the nightlight.

Seal felt flustered and frustrated. Jumping up and shook his head. "No, I am fine." Willow branches draped his body making him look half Kelpie half plant. Shaking he knocked most of them off but some were stuck in his horns. Lowering his head he desperately pawed at them. This is very un-cool. "Names Seal Frost, but everyone as in just Winter calls me Seal.

Winter's eyes were soft, he smiled on at Seal and was happy that at least he didn't jump on D'amour. At the sound of her accent Winter knew that she was not from around here. He had heard that accent years ago in a different part of the Bayou. "So are you new around here as well?"

"No, I'm not I'm afraid. I happen to come a far aways."the mare sad. Her ivory and ebony mane flowed down as if a waterfall. Änd it is a pleasure to meet you Seal. I am D'amour."she said, turning to Seal.

Winter walked over to Seal and plucked the last few branches off of him with his teeth. "Are you looking for the local herd as well?" Winter asked D'amour. He had heard stories about bands of colts attacking loan mares, it was very brave of her to set out alone. This close to the major herd there would diffidently be bands of colts up to no good. He was hoping they could accompany her if she was heading for the herd. If not maybe they could at least spend a few days with her than go their ways.

Seal shrugged Winter off, he didn't want Winter making him look like a child. Again with the herd, why was it that Winter wanted to get to this 'Herd' so badly. They could just have fun, and now they had a new friend. Seal smiled at D'amour "Come on Winter she isn't looking for some lame old herd, look at her she is out for the adventure." He loved the way her glossy hair flowed like water. It made him want to touch it with his nose to see how soft it was, he bet it was like owl feathers.

Theyer chuckled and gazed into her eyes. This mare seemed able to read his mind. "She is a good friend. The first Kelpie I had come across in a while so I enjoyed her company. I think of all my aquintances from time to time," he said softly. Ravenna was most certainly looking for clues into his inner thoughts. He wasn't much for sharing but he would never lie to her either. "I'm not really concerned with any of that at the moment though. I have all the good company I need right here. "
