He saw no unusual activity, but he smelled the scent of rogues. A few of them... It was no warrior or kittypet smell, and it was inside the border. One thing was for sure: they were gone now. He would have to tell Duststorm to make sure and send extra patrols to that border. After his brief investigation, he turned back to his slightly scattered patrol. "Alright, lets head on back to camp. Its nearly sunhigh," he pointed out to them, glad they had caught some prey as well. It would be harder for Jaystripe's patrol to catch anything, being near the thunderpath. On the other hand, it was new-leaf and they had plenty of pret back at camp. You can never be too prepared, he reminded himself, heading back in the direction of camp, expecting his patrol to follow. He had a few ceremonies he planned on taking care of when they got back, then perhaps he would take Flamepaw battle training afterwards.

Desertbloom was bothered by and wrinkled her nose at the smell of the thunderpath. At least they were not too close. She heard a slight rustle nearby and instinctiely froze, trying to pinpoint it. Behind a clump of heather she saw a brown bobbing tail and silently inched closer before crouching. Having WindClan blood in her, rabbits were easy prey, and once the Clans merged, everyone learned ThunderClan's hunting crouch. Hunting tequniques were combined and improved. She crept forward and she saw it pause and lift its head, so she froze. A split second before it began to run, she bolted forward. The chase was a marvelous display of the she-cat's strength and skill, almost seeming slow motion, but it only lasted a few heartbeats before the rabbit was in her claws, kicking and suddenly still. She looked up with the pile of fur at her paws. She glanced around and noticed Seapaw had not been watching. Though Jaystripe ws his mentor, she was a bit controlling over her son. He was distracted, talking to Mistypaw. She left the rabbit and planned on getting it later, daring hawks to try and get it. She flicked Seapaw's shoulder with her tail and once he gave her his attention she crouched down to his hight and flicked her tail towards a considerably smaller and therefore much more naive rabbit near a thicket of gorse she waited for his silent nod of understanding before moving back and observing from the sidelines.

[ Maybe I'm just a dreamer... ]

Seapaw had only said hi to Mistypaw before his mother got on his case. She didnt even have to say anything, and that silent communication they shared agitated him. He wished he couldnt basically read her mind, just to see the look of frustration on er face. He loved Desertbloom, but she could be a bossy pain. Nevertheless, he heaved a sigh and took a few light bounds closer to the rabbit, sneaking sideways to the other side of the bush. He saw its ear flick but it did not move. He rolled his eyes and shifted on his front paws. As soon as he bolted forward, his pelt brushed a branch and the rabbit sprung away. But Seapaw was determined. His legs were shorter than his mother's, but his rabbit's just just as much shorter as the ones on the rabbit his mother had caught. The chase was longer but the rabbit was confused and paniced and did not run in any particular direction. His paws thundered, finding silence now useless. Clumsier than his mother but still skilled, he caught the small rabbit and ave thanks to StarClan for it's life.

She jumped off Applesong as if she couldnt stand to be in contact with her. She stopped, holding a firey glare at her mother, holding back surprise at the pain of actually landing wrong and huting her paw. She took a step towards the nursery entrance and nearly collapsed, so her pawsteps quickened like a scuttling bug in an attempt to hide her new limp. As she entered camp, her pawsteps quickened as if shed literally die if anyone saw her, the mighty Flickerkit, momentarily disabled. About three quarters closer to the medicine den than she had been upon exiting the nursery, she sat heavily. She was still a good distance away, but her lungs could easily carry the message of ger emergency. "DUCKPOOOOND!" she threw her little hea back and wailed, her injured back paw sprawled at an unnatural angle as she sat.

The tabby followed his leader and mentor, tail flicking. While his mentor had been standing there, the apprentice had took the task upon his shoulders and marked the border so that the rogues would know. So now Flamepaw was trotting after the patrol, occasionally sniffing the air; he hadn't caught any prey yet.

Rainpaw nodded as her mentor spoke, trying to take in all he said. She was beginning to calm, and set herself in attentive mode. She curled her tail up and pricked her ears to Brambleheart, thoughts focusing on his words. She matched his crouch, her paws slowly kneading the leafy forest floor. "I'm ready." She meowed, determination echoing through every syllable. Nothing like a fun training bout between she and her mentor. She flexed her paws on the ground, tail tip twitching.

"Alright then." Brambleheart's eyes flashed with intensity as he readied himself to "fight" with his eager apprentice. He rolled his shoulders and made sure that his claws were sheathed; away from any harm they could do to Rainpaw. He let out a fake warning growl and pounced straight towards her at a great speed; hoping she'd do what he'd taught her only moments before.

Moonshade had been sitting by the stream for a really long time now. She sighed, sick of staring into the clear water, and yawned. She blinked a couple of time, and the light seemed caught in her dark blue eyes. She looked at her paws before stretching and standing. She turned around, and started padding back towards camp. She decided to hunt a little, and make herself useful, and so caught two mice. She trotted into camp, but her expression gave way the fact that she was still a little down from her conversation with Sunpaw. She dropped the prey on the fresh-kill pile and flexed her claws, feeling suddenly angry at herself. She narrowed her eyes, only wishing Sunpaw and Foxchaser were really her own kits.
With a deep sigh, Moonshade lay down in the shade to wash.
