"Bruno..." Shasta looked down. "Bruno didn't have to leave us. Me and my mother needed him... and so he left us?" Shasta looked at her with confusion and sorrow in his eyes. A tear rolled down his cheek.

Alice looked into Shasta's eyes. "Shasta, it was Bruno's time." She murmured. She summoned Bruno in her mind, to speak to Shasta and tell him it would be alright.

Bruno got her message. He flew to earth. "My son. The time had come for me to die. It will be ok... you and your mother will be fine. And I need you to trust me. Listen. I need you to make sure Nikki stays stable.. without me she feels alone. Please..."

Shasta looked up. A tear rolled from his cheek and he smiled. "Yes... dad."

Alice silently watched. As a phoenix, she didn't really show much emotion. Thank you, Bruno. Alice murmured to Bruno through her mind.

Bruno nodded and flew back up.

"Don't leave me..." Shasta whispered.

Alice blinked. "Shasta, he has to leave. He can't stay here." She murmured.

"It's not fair!" Shasta screamed.

Alice gazed at Shasta. "No, it isn't. Yet, we must live on, and not mourn for our lost our whole lives. Instead, we must take better care of our living, to make sure it doesn't happen again." She murmured.

Shasta growled. "No." He turned and jumped off the side of the cliff... He used magic and made a ball around him. Then he was floating and nothing could get in his ball.
