"My name's Hazel, my brother is Max and my friend is Jack..." Hazel quietly barked, pointing at the other pups in turn. "...We'd better be going..." She limped back over to Max, obviously in a lot of pain, and tried to help him stand up, but he was too badly wounded. She gently lifted him up and put him on her back to carry him.
"Where are we going?" Jack whined, limping over to Hazel.
"I don't know." Hazel admitted, looking at him with a sigh.
They started to walk off, but it was obvious that Hazel was struggling.

Rako stopped them with his tail. "Hey wait. I can help you, if you help me first." He smiled weakly at them, fliking his ears forwards.

"How can we help you?" Hazel asked, trying not to sound tired.
"Hazel you idiot!" Jack growled. "Max still needs help, and so do we!"

[Solanum]

Rako sighed and looked at his chest and hind legs. "Well... I was shot several times. I need to get the bullets out before I can do anything, but I can't reach them myself. Would you mind getting them out for me so I can help you?" He smiled at them, cocking his head.

"O-Okay..." Hazel gently put Max down and started to get the bullets out with a stick until they were all out, then she covered the open wounds with leaves to stop the bleeding. "...Sorry, I don't know a thing about healing..."

"Hey, Hazel! You've got to try this!" Jack pulled out a dying fawn from behind a bush, not realizing it was still alive. It was Koji. He took another bite out of Koji's side and wagged his tail. "Come on!"
Koji had a bullet deep in her shoulder, that had hit her vital organs and was slowly killing her...

Rako lunged for Jack, rolling the pup away with his nose. Slowly and carefully, he nuzzled Koji's neck, crooning happily to himself. "You're alive? But how?" He smiled at her, not noticing either of their wounds just yet.

"Rako, there were more hunters around. I managed to chase them off, but...one of them shot me..." Koji weakly explained to Rako.

[Solanum]

"I got one... Shot me several times. That young pup there helped me get the bullets out." He bit his lip and sighed. "I'm sorry mum..." He stuck his muzzle into the wound, biting and pulling out the bullets. He pulled his head back and spat them out in disgust.

"So..what I did didn't help atall, then..." Koji sighed weakly, not even attempting to move. It was obvious she had given up...She was a deer, not a wolf. She wasn't as strong as Rako. It would take just a bit longer for her to bleed out, then she would be dead.
