Halo
Halo gave a quiet nod as he mulled over this answer, watching Canad's every move and expression with careful analyzation. He wasn't buying it, not in the least bit. There was something definately wrong, and with a small intake of breath, it hit him like a rock slide. Bandit. He was angry over Bandit! Involutarily, his eyes quickly darted to hers. She seemed to be picking up on it as well, this hostile undercurrent, and the playful glint her rosey eyes once beared was now replaced by a thin glaze of confusion. One ear folding back as he grasped this turn of events, he opened his mouth for a moment. He held it like that for a few seconds before the words actually emerged. "That's, good..." he started, his voice controlled and cautious. Almost as if he were trying to defuse a motion sensing bomb that personally hated him. He didn't want Canad to be upset, they were fairly good friends up until this point, but Bandit... he bit his lip, sighing in defeat. What he was certain made Canad so angry, which was something he really couldn't help, was not only that he liked her, but that she liked him too. They hit it off almost immediately, and he could probably read that at one glance. As he thought about what to say next, something caught his attention. Another equid was quietly approuching them, a little closer than the gawking Livius and clueless Dolce, and her clear voice rang smoothly across to the tensed stallion. Famous was trying so hard to get his attention, to get him alone, to get him away from the new mare he was so enamered with, but it wasn't even entirely certain that her voice had soaked in. He took a small step forward, Bandit so close that he could feel himself getting excited all over again. But he needed to focus. Wording ment the difference between life and death at this point. Or herd or no herd, as the case may be. "Hey, that sounds like a great idea!" he answered brightly, hiding his troubled mind as best he could. He quickly glanced to Famous with a lightning fast wink, since she needed to know he was on her side. "You seem overheated, a walk with Famous in the cool, mountain air might do your leaderly senses some good. Unwind, relax, gets your thoughts and priorities all sorted out, it could be just the brake you need." he confirmed light heartedly, looking back to Bandit with a soft, reassuring smile. "Livius and I will keep a close eye on the herd for you." he added with a confident nod, his gaze shifting to Livius once before he turned it back to Canad. Please don't let this end badly, please don't let this end badly... pounded through his head in a constant turmoil of emotion as he waited for the much feared response. His fur was now heavily pricked with apprehension.
