Waterbone looked at her paws. "Soo..."

"MOMMY!" Mudkit screeched, running out into the snow. "MOMMY, WHERE GO??"

Boneface;;

"How have you been?" Boneface curled his tail neatly around his paws.

''You, answer question. Who you?" Molekit asked, looking at Rosepaw. He still wanted an answer.

"StarClan doesn't have that kind of power. They can't actually change the real world much more than just covering up the moon when they are angry. They can try to influence cats to do the right things that might end up saving the rest of us but it is up to us to choose to actually listen to them." Pikeflower meowed.

Rosepaw rolled her eyes as she watched Speckleflame leave. What kind of medicine cat willingly leaves a kit out in the snow to get sick? She grabbed Mudkit by the scruff and carried, or dragged if he resisted, him back into the den where she purposely dropped him on top of Otterfoot. "Wake up and take care of your kit." She said with a irritated flick of her tail. While she waited for the queen to get up she responded to Molekit by saying, "My name is Rosepaw."

''Why you have paw in name? Why not ear?'' Molekit asked. Ears were better than paws in his opinion.

Mudkit;;

Mudkit screamed, standing up again. "MOMMY!! HELP ME, MONSTERS!!"

Otterfoot;;

Otterfoot woke with a jolt. "Th-thank you, Rosepaw," she spluttered, holding her son back.

Bluecloud;;

"But don't they SEND the floods? Where did it COME from?" Bluecloud scowled, her tail flicking back and forth.

Pikeflower frowned. "I don't know. Some cats think they can send things like floods when they are angry but I don't think so. If they can't save us from things such as monsters tearing down the camp what makes cats think they would have the power to create disasters? StarClan might get upset with us for some things but they wouldn't try to wipe us all out like that. Maybe they could do something else, such as send a sickness, but that wouldn't kill us all. They would tell the medicine cat how to cure it once they decided we've had enough punishment. I'm not saying that StarClan is perfect and that they aren't total jerks sometimes but they usually do things because they think it's for the better. In some way." He was largely just going off of his own speculation on what StarClan could and couldn't do and was under the impression that they cared about the clan for the most part. In his mind, if they did do some bad things it was done as a punishment so that the clan would learn from their mistakes. Similar to how a parent has to punish their kits from time to time but they still love their kits.

Rosepaw turned to face Molekit now that Mudkit seemed to be taken care of. "Because all apprentices get -paw at the end of their names. When I get my warrior name it will be something different. When you become an apprentice, you'll have -paw and then when your a warrior you'll get something else. Maybe you'll get -ear when your a warrior."

''But why choose paw? Why not other parts?" Molekit asked.

"Good. I guess." Waterbone shrugged. "Want to head back to camp?" Waterbone asked, smiling.
